  • Something bad happens within the team : with no serous games till EL play-offs, there are talks about future contracts , agents' spins about half of Europe interested in MTA players

Pargo was benched ( in attempt to give Eidson a starting spot ?) and right now Jeremy looks bad , exactly like when Mekel come to grab his spot in Galil.

I don't know why Blatt changes the rotation that worked just before play-offs . Why fix something that isn't broken

OK, it's understandable to change something after the bench's awful show vs. Barc & it would be difficult to win best of 5 series without a bench, but why to make so drastic changes ? After all, Caja Laboral bench is also short an in final four anything can happen.

Probably to get Eidson in business, he looked awful in most of the top 16 after a great group stage, although I agree it might have been a mistake the risk is worth it IMO, if we'll get Eidson in top shape to this series it's a huge boost.

        Should we be surprised?

        • Milan Macvan.

How come gets lowly minute averages and in insignificant pt (popularly; garbage minutes)on top?

Also, did the contract encompass rights of buyout in case a nba team drafts him? If so, what are the terms? Immediately, after 1 yr, 2yrs?

As for Macvan the main reason is that he is still not connected to the team, you can especially see this on defense. These guys are running together from the beggining of the season, they know each other great and it helps on defense while Macvan looks kinda lost when he's on court and not only on defense but I believe it's only temporary because they didn't sign him for 5 seasons just so he'll be a bench player. It's just that he came to a successful team and you can't stop the team's run for 1 guy when they're doing so good.
As Blatt said "Milan tried to get on a train riding in 150kph".

As for him leaving to the NBA, I don't remember exactly but if I'm not wrong he'll be able to leave after the 3rd 4th and 5th (end of contract) to the NBA with the team paying a buy out. If I'm wrong I believe one of the other guys here will correct me.

Think he'll get drafted? Spurs might not be a terrible fit.

So far I havn't seen too much of him so I can't tell whether he'll get drafted and if it'll be on a high pick.. But from what I read he's a hard worker and a serious player.
Actually I'm a fan of the Spurs, but I don't know if they'll get him, at least not as a main-player cuz they already got Splitter and Blair as future leaders of the team on his spot, he could fit the team quite good as a role player I guess as he is a big man that can also shoot threes quite good and got a good hand from mid-range.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.

                    • its pity israeli league sucks though israeli people love basketball. if im not wrong hapoel tel aviv coming next year. can they creat a competitive team for title ? i think maccabi haifa and hapoel jerusalem should increase their budgets. 3-4 strong teams make israeli league much better.

Should - yes. The owners usually have the mone but don't want to spend it.

Hapoel Tel Aviv is owned by fans , if they'll find additional sponsor to deal with the league min budget : $1.3 M , they're in.

The problem of Israeli league isn't low budgets (Jerusalem , Haifa have ~ $5M budgets), but amateur coaches. The coach's salaries are so low that the best Israeli coaches always leave for foreign clubs.

The way I understand, coaches is the problem of Turkish league too? Except for Fener , maybe : Spahija was really unlucky with injuries this year.

act we have good coaches. spahija, mahmudi, ataman, ene (new NT and banvits coach) and they earn much but the main prob is all the branches under only one board. for eg teams like maccabi, barça, cska, partizan, pao, oly have different menagements for basketball. for eg in türkiye beşiktaş spend 100 mio usd for football and only 3-4 mio usd for basketball. galatasaray are the same. last years fenerbahçe doing well in basket and volleyball coz they have half-independent boards for basket and volleyball. so its the most important prob. if club presidents dont like other branches they dont spend money for them.

if u wonder why i asked about ur league.. as a turk i like eastern europe leagues. we have very hot atmosphere in our stadiums, arenas and its enjoyable to watch the game in this atmosphere. i hope hapoel tel aviv find a sponsor and participate in european leagues in future. the same for maccabi haifa and hapoel jerusalem (i know they play in eurocup) btw if they have 5 mio usd budget, really suck. the coach is important but they should transfer better players 1stly with this high budget.

Are you kidding ? Mire Chatman contract alone costs Besiktas $1m ( Maccabi wanted him last summer but couldn't afford ), not to mention "The Second Coming" of Allen Iverson ( $1m with guarantees)

                              • perkins out will stop every kind of miracle for this year, but what about next? in case mta will confirm, perkin's contract or not, we surely need AT LEAST another player. close to pargo. halperin is ok, but surely not enough. the kind of player should be a pg different than pargo to mix up with him even better than perkins, but the problem is: is mta budget enough to confirm pargo? after this season pargo will have many offer but at the same time, with perkins out, mta ,have to confirm him. we have at least 1/1,2 for him?
