I think that Maccabi's system with the GM position is quite clever.

You hire a head coach as the GM, if you don't like the head coach, or he messes things up or he is not jewish enough you can fire him and then the GM takes up the head coach position. So its a backup head coach.. not bad. Same thing was done with Svi Sherf as well. So is Blatt really a candidate?

I hope Blatt comes to Maccabi, personally I'm not the biggest fan of Gershon. I hope this isn't a Pat Riley/Miami Heat situation going on...

can somebody explaine me why a so actual mediocre player like burnstein ? is there any other importatn team that were searching for him? did he have good seasons in last two years? is he a young talent?
please don't answer that he was added because an israeli. there ere better israeli in the states(jewish americans) or halperin and elyahu. so this cant be the reason. another reason please??

with this step mta managmente officially say to everyone, there are no money and we will not have a good team. this kind of player aren't player for higher level in europe

Personally, I don't think it's that bad of a signing. As far as U.S. Jews go: don't they already have Bluthenthal and are rumored to get Scheyer? The only other two U.S. Jews that are that good (Farmar aside) is Landesberg and Grunfeld (with Bnei HaSharon).

Eliyahu and Halperin are more money, though there are rumors they are after Halperin too.

Again, I don't see this as bad as you make it. Burstein is a good, capable, all-around Israeli player. I don't think they see this as the signing to make or break them.

no hard fealings, but can you post this into maccabi next season thread....i have nothing about one, two ore some opinions about sigings, but this is to much. maybe i'm wrong but i feal other posters to had a nuff of discusion about maccabi singings in this section.

being honest i don't know him. in my opinion, if u can add a young european talent or an amiercan talent,is always better the first one(radjulica ).anyway this second step is surely a step better than burnstein's coming back
