  • Yogev Ohayon

Israeli PG I like very much.
Unfortunately like some other PGs I like his shot is inconsistent and this is why there are so big ups and downs at his games.

I would do also a summery vs Unicks Kazan if somebody would upload a torrent of the game...

It's time for him to become a more consistent player, not just his shot isn't consistent but his all game. And he's not getting any younger.. IMO he won't get far. (and i hope that I'm wrong)

Shots issue effects the whole game. A player that doesn't hit shots becomes not dangerous from outside, and then it's easy for the defense to stop him, and in addition the shot has a big influence on the confidence of a player.

Yogev is 22, not that old...

He is also not a very responsible player. if i'm not wrong he is'nt far from 23 (month or two) and what i ment is that he doesn't improve in the last years, at least not significantly, he still have the same weaknesses as few years ago and if he wanna get where his potential can take him he should start working hard.

It's not a matter of responsibility... It's just that when you don't have many option because of your limitations, any you still need to do something, you will have to do something which is unexpected and therefore pick a risky play...

There are players who even don't need to think at the game - every decision they would take, the action will go well.
On the other hand, there are players who are not capable to do many things, and sometimes any decision the would make the action will go wrong.

About working hard - how do you know he doesn't work hard? Everybody who knows him tell that he is a hard worker.

I'm not sure if he's working hard or not, but i can't see any significant improvement by him.

              I'm not arguing about that.

But there are players that you can enjoy their game whether they are at EL level or not.

                    Typical Israeli player.
One really good game every couple of months, accompanied by a huge slump in level of play after that game is over.
Barely a national team material, shameful at his age.

Excuse me, but it's a BS.

                      Do you know Sergio Rodriguez?
Every single world was said at this thread about Yogev could be said about him as well. So is he a typical Israeli player too?

What is typical Israeli thing is weeping about the players that we have instead of understanding that if not them, the next level would me much worse. And if you define the general level of our elite players as low, the blame is not on these players but not having other better players.
If you for example would be better player then Yogev, then the level of our elite players would rise.

You have to Excuse me. He is 150% right!
What did Ohayon to give him your credit?
He has one good game and 5 that he destroys his team. only the foreigners are making wins in the Israeli's teams.

Do you want names of better player then him? I'll give U in his position:
                        Roth, Mekel, Halperin(!), Limonad, Brener.
                        2022/2023:
                        PG: Brown, D-BA, Ziv
                        SG: Baldwin, Hollins
                        SF: Hillard, Pnini, Menco
                        PF: Martin, Colson, Cohen
                        PF: Nebo, Poyters, Sorkin

Obviously if there were better players they would be the typical Israeli players and not him...
As for the other part of your message, again,lol...maybe the reason we don't have a decent pool of players is the fact there there is so few players the likes of casspi, pnini (minus his violence antics) and even dror hagag that actually improve their game and play over the years (and people don't value well enough as they make their climb up) and so many spice boys the likes of you so adore...

Hey guys, stop being miserable, you have a bunch of very talented and really young players. At least I hope some time they'll get to play alltogether in the NT,with Caspi as well but you know,Serbians,Croatians and others have the same problem many years now.Israely players were always known for great fighting spirit so I don't think you should accusse them for not working hard,it was also very obvious that they lacked physical abilities, but this has changed now with the presence of Caspi! Also Halperin has been established as a great role player for top EL teams, just cross your fingers for Burnstein to stay healthy because he is the most capable for being NT's captain. So imagine in 2-3 years:Caspi,Eliahu,Green,Halperin,Burnstein+Naimi, Mekel,Limonad,Pnini,Bluthendal(btw I have no clue why he never played for NT,what's wrong?).Not bad you just need some capable tall guy, some naturalised could do that job BTW I guess you ip84 are a Hapoel Jerusalem fan.How comes you really prefer Ohayon to Naimi,I'm an Aris fan and in the games against you I was really impressed by that guy, true quality!

I'm not a fan of any team.
Actually I watched more games of Olimpiacos (and maybe of Panatinaikos too) this season than of any the Israeli teams....

I'm just a fan of basketball, and I like certain teams and certain players...
