The most capped (221) German player, Patrick Femerling announced his retirement last weekend at 37.
In his 16-year career he won 7 national league titles in Germany, Greece and Spain and one Euroleague with Barcelona. With the NT, he was a bronze medalist at the 2002 WC and silver medalist at the 2005 EC.
His last club was Alba Berlin.
We'll miss those socks
Anyway, he was the centre of Germany's most successful NT ever and although he was called "soft", "sissy", "a girl" many times, I actually liked him and he was a valuable centre for any team throughout his career.
Best of luck!
