I wrote about Lessort few weeks back in both Rumors and NBA topics. A lot of athletic ability and usually good effort but quite low IQ basketball wise, raw shooting and passing, questionable discipline in defense. To sum it up. He needs refinement in many areas, but a big, big upside. Not my first pick for C, but should be fine for winning ABA League and development for the future.

Another unexpected departure (BUT VERY UNDERSTANDABLE) from Zvezda. Dragan Gacevic, the strength and conditioning coach of Zvezda for the last several seasons has left the team. He is a new personal trainer of Nikola Vucevic and he is moving to Orlando to work with him and some other guys from Magic. I am very, very sad to hear that since he was always doing an amazing job and getting the most physically of our players in the last few years. Most of the guys have shown improvements year-to-year working with him and became better players for it.

I can understand his logic though. He was making quite a modest salary for even Serbia's level and now he has a chance to secure his future and his family. All the best!!!

Are the sources to Lessort reliable? He was pretty close to Bamberg, but he and the Sixers decided him to stay in the states. That was my last stand. Would be kinda weird, though a good signing if it happens.

From the last I have heard it's a done deal in terms of money etc. The main issue is that Zvezda is making a new team an wants to sign him to a 3-year contract, and he would like something more short term. We have signed all our additions this year except Feldeine on 3 year contracts, he is on 2-year. Goss is probably thinking that he can get more money in Europe if he explodes with us. We offer NBA outs, but if he wants to go to China or other EL teams, he will be obliged to us with a contract.

That seems to be the issue.
