We swept Bayern, so I would be a scandal if they get the spot instead of Bamberg. But I suppose both teams will be Euroleague members next season.

Interesting to hear, that Brose are talking with FIBA. No doubt that they are better than Bayern, but that doesn't guarantee a place in Jordis Euroleague. They would be clear favourites if they were to join CL, but would still have a tough time against teams like Las Palmas. I hope that CL isn't a one-season thing and I would love to see a quality team like Brose, but I still think that they deserve be in Euroleague (especially if they win the championship as I think they will).

Let´s wait and see. Fact is: Jordi´s Clan wanted and wants Bayern Munich in the Euroleague. The national League wanted/wants the German Champion in the Euroleague. Our manager is optimistic that the German League will get two spots in the near future. Bamberg isn´t happy about the behavior of the Euroleague and had a meeting some days ago. They met the decision makers of the FIBA Champions League.

One way or another, next year our total budget will reach the 20 Mio line and we will have a competitive team. Bayern would be destroyed in the Euroleague. Average coach, bad scouting (Maybe Muedra will change that in the future) and not a single high quality player (though Kleber and Lucic are good Eurocup Players). We gonna destroy them in the national semi-finals again...

Interesting iterview by Jordi Mafia's prominent member Vatutin
CSKA Moscow's president Andrey Vatutin talked about the new EuroLeague format, the expansion, the revenues of the teams and the domestic leagues.

the part that could be of interest to Brose fans
" “We have to increase the salaries of our star players in order to remain in Europe instead of moving overseas. I am sure that the expension will come as the League is financially attractive but on the other hand there are few teams who can afford expenses like charter flights in this kind of schedule. In my estimations and in terms of financial viability two Russian teams, one Spanish and Bayern Munich can be added. We have to pay attention to many things and specially on the recovery of the players. We have more games and less practices. We plan this summer to send out doctors for training in San Antonio. We have already talked about it with Ettore Messina (ed.note: Former CSKA coach)”.

You'll wake up one day and Bayern will have a nice 10 year long licence which will make german league pointless, just what is happening with greek league, italian,Israeli, turkish etc..Sorry Brose fans but your little town is no contest to Bayern and their brandname and their millions of fans..back to eurocup to try your luck

    @zalgiris Fan

Wanamaker was no longer affordable for Bamberg, As well as expensive center players ...
Veremeenko is not the star but a small puzzle piece that we can afford. Bamberg has to allocate its money well in order to finance a large squad
In addition to 30 Euroleague games, they also have to cope with 34 BBL Liga Games .

    PS :
Every year in Advent the team serves socially weak people a meal

Hey Guys, I see you finished your roster with Veremmenko I don't know how I fell about him, but it looks like he won't be the key guy. What about Causer? In my opinion Wanamaker>Causer, but it's just me. I would like to know more about your team, because it looks not so well without the leader, like Wanamaker was. Maybe I don't understand something. Interesting to know what you think about our roster.

Looking how big clubs are building their rosters, I guess for us, smaller teams, it'll be very tough to stay in play-offs race. It's easier to surprise in smaller group, but when you have 30 games season, class usually takes over. But good luck, nonetheless, always nice to cheer for team from another basketball crazy city

Well @Mav_Lrey, let’s talk about the different guard positions: Andrea Trinchieri loves to use his guards in a versatile way and doesn’t have a fixed roster for the point guard and shooting guard position. So you might be right: Strelnieks could be the first option at the point guard position. But he could also be the back-up at the shooting guard position. There really isn’t any “right” or “wrong” at the moment…

P.S.: Kratzer is playing at the center-position. 100 percent.

For those of you who haven't recognized it yet: The new name of our team will be "Brose Bamberg" from now on. So there won't be any "Baskets" term in the future!

Since Causeur has been announced today, the roster might look like this:

    PG: Zisis/Lo/Nikolic
    SG: Causeur/Strelnieks/Staiger
    SF: Miller/Heckmann
    PF: Melli/Theis
    C: Radosevic/Harris/Kratzer

There will be another addition at the 4/5 position...
