Of course Madrid deserve it's own thread, I'm glad you've created it.

You can guess which topic I'm actualy the most interested in, what's the status with Dončič? Does inclusion in the first team means he'll stop playing for the youth teams and don't you think a loan to some lower level team would be better for his overall development?

Luka will be part of the first team, this is what Herreros said. Most probably he won't play youth tournaments and he will focused entirely on playing with seniors. Laso gave him a lot of minutes when he came with him. Lolaso believe in his potential and Paco Redondo will be there (he was the Junior's coach and now he will be Lolaso's assistant coach).
I think he is ready to play against senior players, he is a superstar but step by step, we should take care of him.

Can we consider depth chart as follows:

PG: Sergio Llull - Sergio Rodriguez - Luka Doncic
SG: Rudy Fernandez - Jaycee Carroll
SF: Jeffrey Taylor - Jonas Maciulis
PF: Trey Thompkins - Andres Nocioni
C: Gustavo Ayon - Felipe Reyes - Marcus Slaughter - Guillermo Hernangómez

IMO at Euroleague, Hernangomez will be the men out of roster.
Go Efes Pilsen - Go Turkey

          Yes.

And in ACB league we can give rest to Nocioni or Reyes, thanks to Slaughter is cotonou and with Willy we have 5 "cupos" (with Doncic 6) and to play at ACB everyteam must have 4.

Damn, after yesterday against Khimki, 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for Dončič against Unicaja. I know this Real without it's NT members is still a lot different team than it will be in a while, however that's far surpassing anything I'd expect from a 16 years old kid.

Vs Khimki he was bad at shooting (2/11), but he ended with 9 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds for 18 of PIR (plus 3 steals). In two games vs Euroleague teams, he averaged :
12 points, 9.5 assists and 5 rebounds. Astonishing and a beast.

Joško, what do you think about this play?: http://kiaenzona.com/liga-endesa/car...a-video-41742/

Is that Doncic or Larry Bird?

Damn. I'm trying to cool down the hype, considering what happened to Bečirovič, however Luka keeps surprising me.

We thought the same. Luka would have done a great job with Slovenia at this Eurobasket, Zoran was too alone.

He will be a stud, I like his work ethic and the way he approaches the game. Still a lot of holes to fill but I think more than that it will be key to:

                          - Go on loan somewhere in ACB instead of a Hezonja or less role in RM. Play 20+ minutes, and feel the game and compete. Best would be in a team with no special ambitions and results, where he can be relaxed and play like a champ.
                          - Avoid NBA switch Hezonja style. Play at least 1 full season in RM system as an important contributor.

If he manages to do those two things, he will be ready for someone to take a stab at him in NBA and give him minutes and keep the patience with his development.

I still have troubles buying into "16 years olds playing a man's game". I wasn't much of a player myself, but at the age of 18 didn't let any talented 16 years old mess with me, including some U16 NT ones and I've got troubles realising how Luka is doing it that well against fully grown profesionals.

He was asked to join the NT, but people said he prefers to work individualy since he is playing for Real's first team and imo that's not unreasonable at all.

                            @CoachZ, agreed.

Mr Chacho, what are the expectations of Hernangomez this year? he seemed doing pretty well in the NT considering his minutes and experience.

I am sure he will play a lot at ACB league, giving rest to Ayón. At EL, he will play, but less minutes.
Phil Jackson believe in his abilities and potential, so I will do the same.
