  • I know I am probably in huge minority but Theis for me is not the best player for Europe. Especially now when he is a little bit older. NBA style, rules, courts is much more for him.

I'm curious as to why you say that. I'm not saying he's Hakeem but he's a decent defender, rebounder and has an ok shot from outside.

Exactly. He is decent in everything but not great in anything. I don't trust him from the 3pt line and he doesn't have elite game under the basket. He doesn't have the quickest feets so he suffers a lot in the p&r. And in offense, no defensive 3 seconds is making him a lot of problems because as I said he is not great in anything regarding offense. He needs great PG and space in the paint to be good. I am not saying he is bad, but I think he is max 10 points per game player as a starting C in the best teams in the Europe. We will see if he comes...

        • Though current position is decent Fener might have a problem in case of tiebreakers. We are negative vs 3 of top5 teams. The only one positive tiebreaker vs Oly probably won't help much. Paris game will be crutial imo, then Monaco

          • Looks like Theis is heading to Monaco.

            • Theis, Motiejunas, Jaiteh, Papagiannis. 4 towers...

              • I am confused. Last time I checked Theis was an undersized, mobile PF/C who was able to switch everything.

Alright we will see. I can't wait to see him in the Europe.

But he will not play C. That's why I counted all 4 of them. Imagine on the court Theis and Motiejunas at PF and C positions...and with this Monaco will lose a lot in the defense with Blossomgame at the bench. And I am sorry but Theis is definitely not mobile for the PF position. Vezenkov, Jabari, Hayes...will destroy him. But okay, we will see at the end of the season was I wrong or not.

                      • I was really bored before an hour so I turned on Turkish basketball and saw Trabzonspor is playing. And I saw Trabzon has few known Turkish players like Ulubay, Senli, Yildirim, Ogut, Ulusoy, Arar...and then I saw Ty Gordon is playing for them and Mitch Creek!!!! How the hell Mitch Creek is playing in the 2nd Turkish league?! Last year he was almost NBL MVP. 20 pts per game...I know he had bad episode in Xinjiang but his style is not for CBA...so I am confused is Trabzon paying a lot or he just had enough of Australia and wants to play in Europe. But even if he wants to play in the Europe he could easily play for at least Eurocup team and I am pretty sure he could find team in the EL without any doubt. And in Australia he was always in top 3 best paid players in the team so wtf is going on here...there is no way Trabzon is paying him about 1M per year or maybe a little bit less.. Toruko please explain if you know anything.

I have no idea my friend. I just know that Trabzon has assembled a team for the BSL and they must pay him very good money. As far as I know he just plays once a week. The team must have convinced him. I just saw the game winning three pointer of Okben Ulubay from 6-7 meters

Yeah, I watched the whole game. Creek was actually very bad today but at the end he made crucial shots. This is crazy...I mean, honestly I don't remember last time I saw weirder transfer. It's like seeing next season Nunn playing for Maroussi.

                            • Carlik Jones is probably the 2nd best player in EL right now. Nunn was by far the best but what Carlik is doing is amasing, though losing cup isn't good sign for evaluating his winner mentality.
Partizan has money for sure, but his next contract should be much more then current

How is that? Vezenkov, Fournie, Hayes-Davies, Nunn, Shorts, Edwards...All are better. Even if you mean only guards, it's still not close. Even in Partizan Brown has almost the same numbers in EL.
