  • Where are now those who have written Moneke come to Partizan ?

    • For Panathinaikos the biggest transfer for the summer would be if Nunn stays and everything looks like that will be the case. 5 more days until the end of the NBA clause, no rumours about him at all and his statement before 2 days says he doesn't even care about NBA. There is no team that will give him backup PG/SG contract now. I am a little bit surprised Ataman decided at least for now to not sign SF or even additional guard. 4 guards is kinda risky when you know Sloukas will be 35 and had problems with the injuries last season. Lorenzo also. But Nunn and Grant can play 40 minutes

I still expect they will sign additional guard or move Grigonis at SG and sign another SF during the summer or at the beggining of the season like they did with Nunn last year. But maybe Ataman will give much more playing time to Kalaitzakis...who knows. Also Juancho can help at SF.

About C, I am not very worried. I don't think Mitoglou will play center position. I would love that, but I don't think he will. Ataman played him at C only against Olympiacos and Real(Tavares). Mitoglou can't play p&r and Ataman adores p&r. We just need one guy that can play 12-15 minutes per game. Something like Mickey, Thiemann... we don't need star, we already have the best C in the EL.

I expect Panathinaikos to have top 3 offense next year with Lorenzo. To play much faster. He will find so many open shots and then it's all on Nunn, Sloukas, Grigonis, Juancho, Mitoglou...to make those shots. OAKA will be SOLD OUT literally every game with the numbers of season tickets sold in less than a day. We have the best backcourt by far, best C, experience and chemistry, great coach and toughest gym to play in, great size at PF, great shooting at SF...I expect nothing less than home court advantage and F4 once again.

      • Wenyen Gabriel in Maccabi. At the end they will have more or less the same team like last year. Backcourt will be not as good but frontcourt will be better. Hoard and Gabriel are better duo than Webb/Nebo.

          Great signing!
I kind of hoped to see him in Partizan.

          • For me the best fit for Pao C position is Motiejunas. Decent 3p shooter, amazing inside game, no problem to have limited time.

            • considering budget best mta market since long long time. 3 very good adds as i consider brown baldwin colson, overrated players. hope they will not ruin it adding jordan lloyd ,and going to add a 50%2p and more than 40% 3p g & fw. they can find in eurocuteam or even in minor league like i.

              • I am very disappointed with the teams with the wildcards. Ok, Zvezda invested, brought new players (maybe not my cup of tea) but at least they are doing something. Even though they have again 15 players, they are too crowded and again they don't have those let say 2 star players. I would rather not sign Daum and Dobric and money from their salaries invest for great PF or C with Bolomboy being backup. But that's just me. Partizan also very weird roster. Still crucial position is the starting PG but idk...I don't see them in TOP 8 at all. Paris is huge disappointment. Middle of July and they still don't have a coach. Virtus no comment. They didn't sign anyone. They are older than average home for elderly and infirm people. Alba...I mean, again they are not doing anything. I am tired of them being like this.

On the other hand I like what is Zalgiris doing. Wallace, Mitchell, Francisco, Siryvidis, Smailagic...with Lithuanian core, home court and Trinchieri they can be very dangerous and will definitely fight for the play-in at least.

Efes signed great players. Only question mark is Darius. if somehow they can get rid of him and sign better player that would be maybe crucial thing for them to fight even for the top4.

Milano looks like Milano...I expect them to sign another C and SF but when I look at their guards Bolmaro, Dimitrijevic, Tonut and Armoni Brooks I can just laugh. They will again have trouble to score in that prehistoric offense by Messina.

Monaco looks incredible on the paper. They added Brown which they needed so bad. Calathes perfect for their team instead Loyd and Papagiannis and Motiejunas are practically the same players.

Maccabi is very interesting. They still need whole backcourt though. Idk what will happen with Cleveland but I assume he will stay. Levi Randolph is huge risk. If he plays great they can be very, very good. On the paper for me they have top 5 frontcourt duo with Hoard and Gabriel. If they bring TJ Shorts and one good SG they are top 8.

Asvel is trash as always. Bayern same story. Baskonia will be good. They probably kept Moneke. Luwawu great fit. In that offense from Laso I think they will be straight fire and very tough to guard...But they still need new 2 C and 2 new PG.

Fener made the best job this summer with changing the players. Olympiacos is still big question with what will happen with Vezenkov and SF. Real will probably suffer a lot. I can't see them dominating RS like last year.

Barcelona always doing the same mistakes. Average guards and horrible in the offense (read Satoransky!!!) paired with pure scorers and big guys that depend on p&r. And my Pao kept everyone (Nunn will be confirmed on the 15th July hopefully) and brought Lorenzo and backup C which is perfect.

So anyway I think this season will be more or less the same like last year. Very disappointing that teams that received wildcards are not doing literally anything except Serbian clubs. Euroleague is in huge problems if they don't start adding teams that are willing to spend.

                • Euro market is getting worse every year.

Top budget clubs immediately sign players like Baldwin, Brown, Evans, Poirier, Colson etc.

Eurocup is devastated and and its not easy to find great player there. Decent players from NBA are not willing to play in Europe unless you pay them enormously like PAO did with Nunn.

So its not real to except some miracle from other teams. Next season I expect improvement from Zvezda, Partizan and Efes.

And yes, I miss russian teams.

Lets wait for borderline NBA players. They can change the situation drastically.

                      • Loyd and Darryl Macon to Maccabi, accoring to pretty decent Israeli sources. Egh, nice addition but they need one more better guard. And one more SF/PF player if Cleveland stays. They could be very nice.

                        • Btw I just found out that Trevion Williams signed for Alba today...huh, that is quite nice signing. Tarik Black in Asvel is typical for Asvel. Cheap, below average foreigner...

Now back to signings & rumors please. Cheers.

                            • Jokubaitis near Zalgiris...probably the best for him. He is just not material for the best EL clubs. Maybe he can turn around his career in the positive way after this disappointment in Barca like a lot of players did. Motiejunas will stay at Monaco. So they have him, Papagiannis, Hall and Jaiteh. Amazing!!!!

                              • I seriously don't understand this logic to keep Balcerowski and still search for the big guy. Ok, Balcerowski can't play worse than last year so he will improve a lot and I think Lorenzo will help him a lot. He is also great lockeroom guy. But we have Lessort, Balcerowski and Antetokoumpo and Ataman still searches for the another big guy...wtf??? My only logical explanation is that Juancho will be SF and they will add PF. Or they will bring SF/PF hybrid type of player. Something like Colson, Clyburn. We have the best C in the Europe who plays always 30 minutes, 2 other C, Mitoglou that can play C and they want a new one...there is no way. So that addition should probably be forward with Grigonis moving at SG and closing 5 guard rotation.
