We lost literally every OT match in the world. We defeated Real in Madrid as the 1st team, boom, Fener does the same next week... now Partizan blew 14 points difference in the last quarter, Monaco makes comeback...we needed just one result to go in our favour and we would need 2 wins from 3 matches...now, with the defeat tomorrow we might even be out of top 6 at the end (not huge chances but stil...)
I agree that if you view it as "how will the other results relieve any effort I have to put in?" then yes we are unlucky. But I maintain that if you are the master of your fate then that's a lucky position to be in.

True, but it's not like we play 3 times Alba in OAKA. When I remember how many defeats from these 11 we have by little margin I think we deserved at least something tonight.

Anyway, Panathinaikos with the win tomorrow is 100% TOP5 if we count win against Alba last round in the OAKA. Because Fener and Oly play last round each other and we would be better than Maccabi in any case. And since Bayern is out for play-in race we should be huge favourites there next week. Also Barca and Fener have next round Maccabi and Efes which is not easy. So it's pretty good situation but tomorrow's match means more than anything. Tomorrow is literally match point for the home court advantage.

I'm generally pretty measured in my expectations but if we win tomorrow then we should be 2nd. There is no excuse.

Yup, but if we lose then we need help from Zvezda&Efes (and still wouldn't be top 4 with 2 wins in some scenarios) or Maccabi(with 2 wins we are top 4). If I see Awudu Abass knocking 3 pt stepback jump shots or Pajola doing the same I am turning off TV immediately.

I always knew that Osmani is a great PF for the EL level. He has many weapons on the offensive end, is a great rebounder and an acceptable defender. Sadik Emir Kabaca has his ups and downs but he will also be a very good offensive piece in the EL.

Forget what I wrote about Kabaca. His defense is nonexistent and he will probably never reach the EL level. Unlike Kabaca Kerem Kuthan Konan has been showing great progress.

Yeah, even I cannot bash Clyburn today. Incredible to see Efes is in a good spot for the play-in, but we will see next week if this is another false awakening or for real.

Beating FB will be very difficult. Crucial game for both teams.

Nobody mentioned Larkin and his champion performance
Efes with him on the bench is total different team, looks like EC roster. Not just last night, but even against Alba. That's what will Efes be after him, with Thompson, jones and others

But I agree with Levenspiel about him(in other thread), he should leave, but not far away, same city(not Besiktas)

Beside Larkin crutial player was Osmani and that's the only thing clown Mijatovic did good. Rest of the game was just individual performances from Larkin, Clyburn(as usual but this time he made wild shoots) and Osmani. Baskonia helped a lot with awful performance

50 points in 30 mins by Hayes-Davis is mind boggling.

Larkin is one of the two best names ever played for Efes. But the times have changed. He is also high-maintenance. The current Fener would be a better fit for him.

Mijatovic is starting the games with a fixed five of Larkin-Hollatsz-Clyburn-Osmani-Pleiss. This is a bit of an unusual structure, sometimes it works well (vs Oly and Baskonia), but what's weird to me is that, Mijatovic insists on this 5 even when it clearly doesn't work (last week vs Alba) and even when the alternatives do much better.

Yesterday I couldn't complain about Clyburn because he was not going for isos, but instead, creating opportunities for others using this threat. But, yeah, Baskonia was quite bad.

I watched it, he looks outworldly right now, even though it was versus Alba.

BTW, Motley also is at his peak for the last 5-6 games. The playoffs will be interesting.

It really felt like those two were playing with their little nephews in the backyard at times.

I love Mitoglou, I really do but he is the player since Feldeine that pisses me off by far most. Also Lessort plays like he is drunk.

It becomes so fucking tiring to see Pao come flying out the gate only to make it a close game eventually.
