  • EL 2023/24 - Gameday 30

the thread for the gameday 30.
There is only one interesting game, imho, Fener-Barca, but it's a double-game week, so things should get more intense later on.

I really didn't expect this kind of performance from Efes...
Well, Panathinaikos must win tomorrow. This is our chance.

mr bean aka bar-joke-ass showed the reason everyone hates loserbiakos and him. bad losers as always. after all their moto, is win by any means. remember the poisoned water to csska back in 1995. this team is a disgrace to humanity, not just sports. they dont know how to accept defeat, even though they have 90-10 officiating in their favor in every game, when fa(u)ll does offensive foul in every single possesion with his elbows but never gets called for it
      Sasa Pukl for MVP

im not angry man. every time the criminal organization from peiraius sends criminals to terrorize and attack referees at their home and never allows finals to end when they lose in their court, im happy. every win for their opponents is a win for human race, in which 90% of their fans and stuff dont belong to.

What a shooting performance by Efes! No matter how robotic Walkup is, Oly needs a good backup PG. Goss can be a good player in general but is very inconsistent and very fragile.
Efes has a disproportionate record at home and away. I don't know why that is but at home they have the same record as Monaco for example. Away games have been really really costly.

Ok, so with the Zalgiris victory over Virtus the situation is very clear -
if Panathinaikos wins against Zvezda tomorrow they are 98% in the top 6. 4 rounds before the end Pao would have 2 more wins than Virtus. Yeah they play each other in Bologna but Pao has +14 from the 1st game. So Panathinaikos would need 1 more win because I highly doubt Virtus can win all 4 remaining matches and with 15 points Panathinaikos. And Pao still has Alba at home. So great, great news but we need to do our job tomorrow. Then we can think about top 4.

Yep, they are so weird team. But that's how they have been built. When they have contribution from Willis and Osmani and especially Clyburn then they can beat anyone. When they don't then they embarrass themselves like the last week against Asvel.

I am shocked how much freedom Avramovic has. He literally doesn't pass the ball. Partizan played great until he started his show. Walking brick and seems every time he has possession turnover will happen. Completely destroyed Punter&Caboclo rhythm...

Avramovic can be a really useful player as a hustler and not first attack option, something like he was for Serbia NT at WC.
But i think, him to be first or second attack option cant work well, he can score a lot points but his team will lose game, same case as Nedovic for Zvezda.

Fully agree. And look no sight of him in the 2nd half and Partizan plays great.

It always feels good to beat a team like Olympiakos, even if it's (almost) useless for the playoff race. Bartzokas gambled (or didn't respect, I don't know) Pleiss's shooting, and Efes gained a huge momentum at the start.

At the end, I really wonder what he was protesting about.

When Punter plays, Partizan plays. So simple
I really want Partizan-Real in the playoffs even though it will be very tough for Partizan...they would need 2 wins on the road 1st in play-in and they still have heavy fight for the playoffs...Baskonia could also be dangerous for Real. Maccabi doesn't have any chance without fans. Valencia lmao, Bayern nothing...

Osmanis transformation is really a reason to be happy. He seems to get used to the EL intensity and he has also quite good weapons such as stretching the floor and attacking the rim. He just needs to get stronger and a bit faster but we can already speak of a legit EL rotation player.

Oly was not hungry enough. They played shitty defense.
