Sloukas had a remarkable season, leading his team to within one shot of the title.
Look at the respective budgets for the two teams. Real have a much bigger roster which matters even more in a 40 game season.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about comparing both players. It's pretty obvious who was better player. And you shouldn't forget how ACL injury in 2018 more or less ended Llull's dominance. He would have had even better career without it.

      • its a devastating defeat. and llull, i dont know what to say to you. he became the player who changed the fate of rm (in every sense).

so, whats going to happen to jasikevicius now?

cedi osman is a basketball player who routinely fails to score from the foul line and will make you lose the game while under pressure. he is mentally weak and overrated.
calathes probably has better a 3-point percentage than cedi osman's free throw percentage and honestly, that's hilarious.

There's not much evidence that Llull, at any stage of his career, could have lead a lower budgeted team like Olympiacos as expertly as Sloukas has this season.

He will go to the NBA to teach low tempo offence
Pao would be a very good destination but they choose Ataman,Efes maybe?

I don't want Saras at Pao until he shows some promise. As of now, his Zalgiris year seems to have been a fluke.

too late for that erdem can probably will be efes' new coach as reports say. jasikevicius is a huge disappointment. i wonder where he will end up next season.

What do you think poll results would be, if the question was, who was better player? Maybe Greeks would choose Sloukas, although I'm not sure about that, others wouldn't.

Team in Euroleague were very near together this year, because you simply can't find great players, even if you have almost unlimited budget. There's very few good playmakers and very few good bigs in the market. Level of Euroleague went drastically down, but that enabled teams with less money to compete with bigger clubs.

                    • We all give our congrats to Real concerning yesterday match and their winning spirit.
How about the ethic of Real this year.
a)he begun by firing their coach for 10 years Pablo Laso ,saying that he is uncapable of working, something that proved false.
b)rumors that real closed Scariolo for new coach while they are still trying to reach their goals(unfair to coach Chus Mateo)
c)the whole fight thing that eveyone had agreed that the punisment were at least unfair

Llull was more athletic at his peak, but that's it.
It's revisionism to pretend now that Llull and his cronies were the European version the 90s Bulls when in reality most years they were flopping (pun intended) in the Final 4 or outright missing it altogether. I'm sure you remember the great playoff sweep of 2017?

Efes has just reject these rumors, that' why i said it.
Jasikevicius is a good coach with plan, but not for a rich club to play dominant basket.
He would be great to go to an underdog.
An aspect that he definitely must improve is his behavior to his players,at least at Barca had many issues

I remember very well 2017, because I was watching it in Istanbul. Do you know that Llull has scored 28 points in semis, so he was hardly the 1 to blame. On the other hand Sloukas with 9 points was hardly instrumental for the win.

Real has won 3 titles in last 8 seasons, it looks pretty impressive to me.

Ataman's usual antics put Efes in a difficult situation. The domestic league is ongoing, and Erdem Can's team, TT Ankara (1) will possibly match up against Efes (3) in the semis. I guess both sides have had to deny the rumors at the moment.

as for Saras, even though I bashed him at Barca, think, he might be a good option for a "rebuilding" Efes. With Clyburn and Larkin still under contract, and the 35+ yo players gone, the next year is going to be a transition. Saras is not a good fit right now.

And Israeli, don't forget Maccabi if they manage to reach again the f4.

They had already managed to occupy half Monaco's arena during the playoffs lol. But the team didn't exploit their aid.
