Tavares is without question better, but Fall is big enough to cause some trouble. Fall plays in classic post up sets a lot more than Tavares, so it's possible that Bartzokas will run a few post ups in the beginning to draw couple of fouls on Tavares, Fall is strong enough to battle Tavares inside.

Sorry Toruko. Although it looks like the conversation has turned back to boxing again.

Fall cannot do anything against Tavares, so his only goal is to draw fouls. And I expect a lot of flopping from the biggest expert in Europe, Sloukas.

He will do a lot if he does that. Drawing a few early fouls on Tavares is probably better than scoring a few buckets in the long run.

I recall you saying " in sports winning means that you're better".
So, if Olympiakos wins, they will better but less basketball team than Real?

Of course, whoever wins is the best team in Europe.

              • Comparing Oly and Real, Real is better fit for this kind of battle. They have one of the best players in history and one of my favorite players btw, Chacho. Such players win big games. They have Tavares also, by far the best EL center.

On the other side Oly is well coached team with good system and with pure HCA tonight.

                This is realy 50:50 game

                • The healthiest roster is Oly's roster, combined with his numerous alternatives makes this team the logical favourite.

Real's win would be a miracle. Of course sports miracles happen sometimes.

                    Yes I agree about Oly.

Just maybe in this finals players like Chacho(even in late age) make difference and Oly lack of that

                    • I don't think zone defense with Vezenkov at the high post and shooters around him will work this time for Real. Bartzokas is ready for that.

                      • There were posts about importance of 3pt percentage here, tonight game until now shows that one player can make huge difference with good shooting, yet to see if Real could answer with big shoots too

                        • Fun game so far. Oly's intensity at both ends is unmatched, impressive. Very high passing culture.

Thomas Walkup, as non scoring PG, shows that lock down defensively and pass first PG still very much has place in EL. Perfect job even if he can't shoot, score.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

                          Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
                          Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
                          Buzelis, Lelevicius
                          Murauskas, Sirvydis
                          Tubelis, Krivas

Oly has alternative plans, difference already explained.

                            • Rodriguez difference maker, manipulating all those p&r sets. Some posters told me that he can't play anymore Very old and stuff like that.

                              • Real risking on Mckissic, leaving him wide open every possession.
