Point is different, coach, who plays final tomorrow, had the need to express concern about European basketball struggling. It looks to me that problem is really big.
And no, it's not the same problem in football, Europe has with Mbappe and Haaland fantastic young players. Problem is only in basketball because we're developing young players for Nba. For example, Slovenian Jan Vide scored 27 points for Real against Barca in ANGT tournament yesterday. There are only 2 options, he will be good enough for Nba with 20 years or he won't ever be anything special. No chance that he plays in Europe, if his development goes like many expect. That's why you have players like Madar getting rising star award. This award is a joke nowadays, really talented 22 years old players should be in contention for MVP.

Football, while more popular than ever, has huge problems with talent production. A majority of the so called top players now are athletes rather than footballers. Defending is also a lost art. I don't think anyone can seriously say the leading European teams are better now than ten years ago. Look at this year's Champions League semi finalists as evidence of this.

yeah, similarly, I cannot shake my bitterness at Real for the dirty move in 2nd game vs Partizan. What's worse, if they win, is that some future self-help guru or a commercially-biased EL historian will take Llull's move as a great example of leadership or winning mentality, or whatever, when it all looked like it was over. Hope they go home empty-handed.
PS. Regardless of that, I think Oly is the better team, has a better coach, and should win this one.previously known as Beno
