I'm not sure whether EL should worry about where the money comes from but just the amount of money spent. This is greek government's issue to solve.

EL should ask for financial data and I guess they do but in my opinion they don't have the authority to verify their accuracy.

Agreed. However, these budgets are peanuts compared to many other sports & organizations. I assume the incentive for transparency is smaller too.

DPG owns the biggest pharmaceutical company in balkans. Plus from this year and for the next 50, OAKA is owned by the team + the biggest parking in the area which the team gets all the profit from. spending 20 millions per year means nothing to them. Transparency should be bigger for clubs like barcelona or real that get money from the football clubs which owe billions in banks, which is pretty much stealing from people's money. Or russian and turkish teams with unknown owners and sponsors

if fener had signed sloukas, we could have let go of dorsey to olympiacos. but since we couldnt, dorsey's chances of leaving the team are almost zero. so, slow down a bit.

about onuralp bitim, i heard that he wants between 500k-650k a year after having a great seasons with bursaspor. i also heard that fener and onuralp have verbal agreement. BUT, with our current rotation, i dont know how he will be able to get lets say more than 10 minutes if he decides to come to fener. i def dont think he will go to pao because they are even worse lol.

Yes I believe that too. Bball money is nothing. Just to be clear, I do think that the teams with seemingly bottomless pockets are more of an issue (real, Barca, Russian, potential expansions to Dubai) than Pao.

tonia Sure they can. I mean, it would need a big branch of lawyers, accountants and such, but the authority part is between the EL and the teams to decide.

Everywhere I see, Mirotic seems to not be coming to Greece. I don’t know if it’s a ploy like saras described to make DPG sound cool but at this point I’ve seen it too much. I don’t know why someone would pick Armani over Pao’s project or Oly’s consistency but whatever.

I’ll be the first to admit that, that’s why I also included Oly. Unless Armani is offering much more money. Let’s hope that after Ataman’s tenure our status will change.

I think Oly was just lucky to build a well functioning team together. Mckissic contributed more than expected, Vezenkov finally turned out to be a star in Europe, Larentzakis contributing offensively that well was also very unexpected but I dont think the destination is very tempting for stars in Europe

After having lost Vezenkov and Sloukas I highly doubt their ability to compete.

Oly’s homogeneity level will be pretty high so I expect them to do well at least in the first couple of months. Apart from that they have been very consistent with performing in the past many years while Armani (no hate to Armani btw, it’s just a placeholder for the teams that have been heard) has had a couple of good years. There is no comparison in my mind.

On the other hand going to a team like CZ makes more sense. Now, I don’t want to touch any weird Balkans buttons here so I’ll just say that it’s closer to home for him.

how is going to a team which have ambitions for top 12 have any sense?
as i already said, zvezda never signed some "campazzo, vildoza, panter, leday" type of player before season starts, it can be only done like last year, when you need a set of circumstances during the middle of the season..
not to mention crazy "situation", when u offering contracts to mirotic and campazzo(he is already gone), but in case if they wont to sign, that 6m predicted for mirotic and campazzo, doesnt exits for other players..
