We knew, we 'll have different team for next season. It's something what's happen most of teams who have excellent season.

He failed to finish at home, after breaking Real's home advantage, this team full of problems (not that Partizan didn't face problems themselves) that managed to win the trophy afterwards, winning Barcelona and Olympiacos.
I guess that most people would not have expected Partizan to reach Top-8 and be so close to participate to F4, at the beginning of the season. In my opinion, this is all Obradovic' s project. And I think that Partizan was not as rich as Ataman's Efes, that didn't reach Top-8.
PS I can't help not supporting Obradovic

Lessort is very good signing. Best EL center behind Tavares and maybe Motley. Vildoza is ok.
For beginning of mid-season is more then correct- Of course, Pao is in situation to build almost whole roster.
It's main question how will match Ataman and players in interpersonal relationships

The fact that Ataman gets along with DPG is already a bad sign about the kind of relationship he will have with the players. I really hope I'm wrong with him.

I attribute it to the fact that Ataman has nothing to prove. He doesn't need Mr. DPG's approval or anything. So it could just be the case of a guy that is very confident in his position, not that they get along because they are similar :P (I hope so at least)

Since Punter rejected our offer, which was supposed to be higher than any other made to him, I fear that no player with offers from other teams as well will choose Panathinaikos.

Being disappointed for him is unjustified, the El market starts just now. I think that the priority should be forcing Papagiannis to decide whether he accepts the team's offer or not.
If it was up to me, I would only sign Obradovic from Partizan, none of Punter, Lessort, Exum,Leday.

Your quotes don't mean much. (Small note, they are badly formatted and difficult to understand who said what). No one hated on Pao really, we just took the fact that the hottest name rejected a high offer from us to go to a team that will drop the budget and hire a no-name coach and tried to work backwards to explain it. It's just speculation. As is that Pao was lying about the amount of money that was offering. We never said "No one will ever join Panathinaikos ever again". Btw Punter has spoken about the difficulties he faced when he first came to Greece to play for Lavrio, maybe he just doesn't want to come back. As I said, it's just speculation (not super far fetched though).

Partizan is a small market team. It is very normal that players will try and capitalize on their good year to "go get that bag". I don't see anything strange about it. It has nothing to do with respect towards Obradovic.

Lastly, pretty rich for a DPG bootlicker telling us that we don't support Panathinaikos.

On the other hand DPG hardly can work with some ordinary person or coach, if two of them match there is conditions for good season.

partizan had punter on a 1,5m/year contract already so its not that small of a market,even if the serbian goverment finances them (and red star). lessort on the other hand was even cheaper and partizan could make an offer and keep him cause they wanted to. but he chose ataman instead of obradovic. sadly for tonia, who wrote that "This is why we needed a coach respected enough to attract players, but as it seems we do not have one". But suddenly he has disappeared after that comment, he was posting the whole day about being rejected by punter, about not having a well respected coach (who is the best coach in europe the last decade), but when lessort was announced this "pao fan" suddenly disappeared from the forum. maybe he has gone to serbia to cry together with his love obradovic, cause he loves more him than his "team".

Why did Lessort reject our first high offer (and by 'our' I mean Panathinaikos' offer, not Obradovic's) since he prefers so much Ataman to Obradovic? Was he so sure that we would raise the offer or maybe he just cared for more money?
I really hope that the "best coach of the last decade" Ataman- I guess you mean this decade, since the best coach of last decade was indeed Obradovic with 7 participations to F4 and 2 titles - will have great success with Panathinaikos and achieve more than Obradovic's 5 EL titles during 13 years to our team.

Tonia loves obradovic, it is perfectly comprehensible.

I would only like to remind her that he managed to win mostly when he had the opportunity to coach very dominating centers.

Vrankovic, Pekovic, Udoh. By far the best in Europe during the seasons that he had them at his disposal. Without them he often faced difficulties and failures.


Obradovic is an excellent coach, he will always be glorified by Pana and the whole European basket world, but he shouldn't be considered something inhuman.

Other coaches could have won trophies with Pavlou (and Fener's) very huge budgets. Ataman deserves to be trusted and respected.

They really got the best/only available high caliber SG in the market. I have no idea how they pulled this off and what was promised to him.
I will add in small letters so that saras won't get pissed off that I hope that Punter wasn't presented with the choice:
A) 1.7 to Barca
B) 1.8 to Pao
and decided that he doesn't want to deal with the craziness of DPG.

I read his deal is 6m euro/2 years on Eurohoops.

A salary cap might not be realistic yet but I really hope we get a bit more transparency on the contracts with the new CEO.
