Cant say much about Moraitis but he wont be able to have an impact right away. Kostas A. i wouldnt sign either. It only makes sense for me if you lose Papagiannis and you need a Greek big for the A1.

Rokgavopoulos should be your main target indeed. This guy is the most talented player that I have seen since Charalampopoulos. He is without a doubt EL ready. Great rebounder, great spot up shooter who can additionally create a bit for himself and he is also an ok passer. Ataman can use his full potential for sure.
all of these have greek passports and its the only reason the team will go for them. mitrou long as well if he gets greek passport. apart from that moraitis will just be a replacement for bochoridis, probably not even on the 12man squad in euroleague. we need 6 for greek league though and the only sure ones are agravanis and mantzoukas.
papapetrou is ok if we want to full the backcourt with foreigners and let space for mantzoukas to play more than this season.

i would only take kostas antetokunbo as 3rd center. this dude is not a basketball player,he is even worse than thanasis who is a clown. the only reason these guys keep getting contracts is because they are giannis' brothers. and he is not even a young guy who might improve later. he is already 25,5. he is a low domestic league level player, more like a player for karditsa or kolossos. he showed this year in fener that he is not even good as a 3rd center on a euroleague team. the rumours about him are that he has high expectations for himself demanding to be at least 2nd center,it was the reason he wasnt signed by olympiakos last season. he should understand that his only connection with the sport is his height and his brother, cause apart from that he is probably the least talented player in euroleague

not weird and has also been praised many times by giannakopoulos during the friendly games at OAKA every september, with efes being the team constantly participating. plus he has humilated obradovic many times, which by itself adds points to him, showing his coaching ability.

he is also known for his hot temperament, which is needed for benches like ours. and for sure he is a good coach, 2 euroleagues (should have been 3 if we count 2020) prove that. on the other hand saras is highly overrated as a coach,he would be a good choice only because he would bring peace with the fans but his last seasons are a disappointment with huge budgets and laso with his health problems idk if he could withstand the pressure. pasqual would be the only good alternative but i dont think he is gonna leave russia this summer. there are no other good coaches, trinchieri, sfairopoulos or others are jokes on par with the clown we had this season, radonjic

Someone would say that Radonjic has also "humiliated" Obradovic multiple times. His "coaching" did not work for us though..
Let's see how many times Ataman will leave OAKA before the end of the game, due to his "so useful" hot temper.
About Laso's health condition, there will not be more pressure for him in Athens in comparison to coaching a team that leads in EL, like Barcelona or Real. But I think he must have rejected PAO's offer.

I would also prefer Laso over Ataman but Laso has many choices and one of them is Efes with a way better roster and budget. Do you really think you can get him with Mantzoukas, the Kalaitzakis bros or Papapetrou? There is no way. Even Bayern has better chances to get him. Ataman is surely not a good coach within the games but if you let him build a roster he can create a great, well functioning team.

I think Laso would feel less pressured to lead PAO to quarter finals rather than sign to Efes to win the trophy. Besides that, it was supposed that he would select the players and that D. Giannakopoulos would be willing to spend money on the team.
Ataman in PAO?? It feels like a bad dream..

No, Laso has better options and he will take one of them. Giannakopoulos is not someone you can work with. He made a mess out of PAO. Laso wouldnt take a team without any goals or lets say minor goals such as making it to the playoffs. I dont know if Ataman would work out but a demanding vocal coach is what you need right now.

Let's wait and see if Ataman actually leaves. According to U.O.Sulak (usually very reliable), neither Ataman nor the club seems to be willing to extend the contract, but it's not over.

now if he leaves, Efes is in the queue for Laso, but I honestly do not see that happening.

the issue is, who else? Are we going to gamble with Erdem Can maybe?

Why is that? UOS says he promised to a club. I think its Bayern but he also said Laso is waiting for Efes but I wouldnt say no to Erdem Can too.

Ataman is history. You can surely read out of his statements. Its over. The Efes dynasty with Ataman is over.

PAO should have let Kattash continue two years ago... Again, I am not his big fan, but after couple of years he might have built something better than PAO has now.
                    Yalla Maccabi!!!

Pitino should have stayed to the team. Kattash should have never come as a coach, it was great that we had him as player in the past and won a championship with him. We should keep this memory of him

Probably, but when he was there and won with Pao two titles, they should have left him stay, and may be see some results today.
He wasn't and still isn't top EL coach, mainly because he works slowly. That one of the problems I have with him. If Maccabi had two more (absolutely winnable) games as, for instance Virtus and Bayern, or Pao we would be in fourth place today....

Ο Παναθηναϊκός αποφάσισε και προχωρά με ξεκάθαρο στόχο τον Εργκίν Αταμάν. Άμεσες οι εξελίξεις.

the greek site with journalists straight from giannakopoulos media. whatever is written there means is pretty close to happen. in this article talks about ataman and panathinaikos and what i understand is that its pretty much done deal and will be over before the end of this month. doesnt about any players in particular, but says about players from the top tier. we will find out about that soon i guess, so far the only one that looks to be agreed is vildoza for 3 years

katash proved nothing at panathinaikos before 2 years. he won 2 titles against nobody. at greek cup olympiakos was disqualified by kolossos in the first round and in the greek league olympiakos was in the second division and we won the championship against lavrio in the greek finals. we would have won these 2 titles with giannakopoulos himself as a coach.

compared to the clowns priftis and radonjic who replaced him though, katash looks like a mix of popovic and obradovic

Look, I am not his big fan even now. His improvement curve is quite slow, even though there is stark difference between now and beginning of the season (I re-watched game against Oly yesterday and there IS improvement). His game management still lacks and doesn't come close to level of Blatt or Gershon. His stubbornness and inflexibility cost us few lost games. He lost to Jerusalem in Israeli cup. I might be too harsh, don't know. 5th place is still achievement.

tonia: Pitino was terrible imo. He is undoubtedly a successful NCAA coach but came to Europe with zero plan and incredible arrogance.
MikeMaccabiFan: It might be that Kattash will become a great coach but unfortunately Pao can't be a "teaching" organization. We're not there yet.
