In addition to this, most people in Turkey know that winning a title for Fener (and the boiling cauldron that is) was a near-impossibility, regardless of budget. It took the best coach of the EL history several years to get it. Still an amazing job.
I'm surprised that anyone has forgotten this so quickly. Ataman winning the Eurocup with Galatasaray in 2016 was a huge deal as well.

Galatasaray is still paying the debts of this time.

          • It seems that Josh Nebo is already out of Maccabi's roster for the rest of the season and also for the next one.

The Eurocup (or the champions league) is the right competition for him.

                • Mannion to Fener could be smart move. This looks like the real Itoudis from CSKA

Bitim could be good move also

On the other hand he is a yesman of the property, we know that he won't demand anything and it will be very difficult to improve further with him.
Roster was very good, as I keep saying this whole year. Kattash didn't have much mediocre players, except ones he brought himself in the middle of the season. He didn't use Hilliard properly, he didn't use Martin properly, he didn't use Hollins properly, he absolutely destroyed Ziv (not big fan, but he is athletic and was good in the league for years, not now). If not two-three unnecessary losses to teams who ended under Maccabi at the end, we would be in F4.

As for demands, we will have to see. As you mentioned in different post, Nebo might be out. Right now he is injured, so he probably out for the season. As for the next one, it is being discussed in different forums, not sure if in Maccabi management too. It is not fair to him, but there was a whisper in One podcast about it. He is high flyer, and good rebounder. Rim protection is not really there, passing is not there. So if Maccabi has good 4/5 in works, Nebo might not continue. Nothing is final, we have championship to win.
                      Yalla Maccabi!!!

                      Save English, ban macabeo....

Mannion already spent a year learning from Steph Curry and two years being guided by Teodosic. Being understudy to Calathes is the perfect way to continue his basketball education.

I will never understand your Teodosic fetish.

Well Teodosic is universally recognised as an elite PG and an all time great passer.
I thought you'd be more critical of me praising Calathes as Mannion's potential mentor.

Both players showed their talents in Israel at the same age and proved themselves in Italy. If this transfer happens, they will both step into the Euroleague at nearly the same age aswell. When thinking Jones' emphasis on defense, his unwillingness to back down despite being undersized, his strength and explosiveness in the paint, this transfer would be a crucial move for Anadolu Efes. For Jones, who has already gained momentum in his career, a transfer to Efes would be a golden opportunity.
Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. The strong with less intelligence and comprehension can not cope with the less strong but with sufficient intelligence and comprehension. I like the sportsman who is intelligent, agile as well as morally upright.

There are rumours that Olympiakos is also interested in Tyrique Jones.
