Considering the scale and the magnitude of the earthquakes, I wonder if our members are OK.

a bball forum is not in anyone's priority right now, but please do drop by if you see this thread.

My best wishes to all who were affected by the earthquake. I hope you overcome this and I wish a speedy recovery to all injured.

My thoughts and prayers are with people from Turkey and Syria. That was terrible tragedy. Suspension of euroleague and eurocup games in Istanbul and Bursa is completely understandable decision.

I checked the forum for any post about Oly, but seeing the wishes about Turkey 🇹🇷 and Syria 🇸🇾 made me think that it is not a good time to talk about basketball. Let me just say rest in piece for the ones lost.

I don't want to comment anything about basketball. I am shocked by the drama in Turkey and Syria. So many people with dreams lost in a moment so unfairly. I sincerely sympathize with our brothers in Turkey and Syria.

It's difficult to say and write whatever after such horrific happenings. Eathquake 7,8 magnitude sounds apocalyptic. Unfortunately, scenes which we have seen and number of deaths confirm is not far from that. Unfortunately, human tragedies contrinuing in different shapes and ways.

Among the cities highly damaged by the earthquake the most notable regarding sports is perhaps Gaziantep, their soccer and basket teams play in the highest league.

Sports activity can't be the priority at this moment but let's hope that they will restart playing games as soon as possible. It would be a sign of renaissance.

It's horrific eathquakes in Turkey and Syria lasting whole time. I just hope there will not be more earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, as well as in Romania, Greec and Croatia, like it was today, of course not even close destroying intensity. but in Serbia it was shakening of eaurthquake in Romania, obviously it means there it was much worse.

Also, what is concerning, eathquakes happen usually in short term in same area of different level. After pandemia, wars, political and social disasters, human race just needed earthquake to fullfill circle of horrors.

Anyone who lives in an earthquake-prone country knows how scary it is. Of course the worst thing is when an earthquake actually affects you and not just living in fear of it.
