2023 Forum Update!
Dear IBN community,
As you've realized, we have updated the forum.
it's been 10 years since the previous upgrade, so it's likely we've lost some styles and functionality.
could you please share the issues you've encountered, as well as your thoughts and suggestions here:
cheers,
Levenspiel

Bunch of streetballers without skillset, basic basketball knowledge, shooting etc. Clowns like Melih and Edwards. Overated Koskoskov's boy pierre or Hayes , 3rd level small foerwards not even EC lebel
Just centers are more or less ok
Itoudis made poor job with roster selection, even worse then Kokoskov. This is my last post about Fener for this season
They are disaster, idiots, clowns. Our decline started when Koc replaced our old good president who brought us a title. We are not powerhouse anymore.
I don't even watch games anymore

Oly play the game in my opinion very different from all the rest. This constant movement and multiple threat to the basket and the passing game with closed eyes cannot be done like Olympiacos does. At the moment he is playing a basketball that seems to have a lot of influences from the NBA (Celtics and Heat are very similar in the way they play) but without as much iso as they have there and this is logical as in the NBA there are solo players offensively that in the Euroleague they simply cannot even come close to that. It seems that the coach has managed to put these elements together and the result so far is an amazing basket that is also combined with the result!
I am convinced that Oly is the best team in the Euroleague this year but due to the Euroleague elimination system in F4 anything can happen and Efes remain the most dangerous team since its players are more confident in those situations.
Whatever happens in the season, what matters to us fans of the team, is that coach B has built a team that we are happy to see and that is enough.

The whole Euroleague looks disastrous. The lack of talent is evident. Past stars are getting old, present stars and solid players are all in Nba, and probably the most disturbing thing, anyone young with a half of a talent goes directly in Nba too. Europe becoming dump yard for below average Americans.
Fener was doomed at the moment, when they brought Calathes.Btw. is shooting FTs 36%, some kind of a record?

This time I am angry with Katash, ok the game without L.Brown was considered a prohibitive one but why does he keep throwing away his timeouts? As it has already happened against Pana he stops the game after a single bad action by his players. This is stupid and helps your opponent, mistakes can happen, if the team performs well there's no reason to call a timeout. Saras exploited it great saying thanks a lot.

Despite the over-excitement of so many Fener fans, I was expecting him to be unplayable during the playoffs, but he's already there since the Xmas. Age does not help, and with such a heavy workload, he looks gassed.
the biggest issue for Fener in my humble uneducated opinion is that they totally miss contribution from Hayes-Davis & Pierre, both defensively and offensively.5 out 6 scientists say Russian roulette is safe.

Both of those two are clowns. Bottom of the small forwards list in EL. one of the worst. Almost every team has better forwards
I would add Willbekin to the list, not because he is bad player, but because expectations were so high(including milion buyout) to be leader and star. I knew from the start he is just EC level player, overated for 3 games in Dacka's champion year, especially in Munich . Calathes has better 3pt percentage then him, what a blow for Gator's favorite
