ahem, weren't Fener fans saying here that Koc spent 50m out of his pocket in a year? I watch all Euroleague games and the value of larkin is in this gamestyle where almost every team makes man to man switch defense is another level. He is unstoppable in running at the rim. I dont deny de colo is a great scorer and also maybe a better shooter than larkin but larkin is overall still better.

Larkin is stoppable. He was stopped time and time again over the years, unlike De Colo, who was consistently a 50/40/90 player with multiple championships. The fact that Larkin abused a depleted Fener team with terrible perimeter defense and no centers doesn't mean he's miles ahead (as your initial comment suggests) of proven players. I don't even mention Larkin is a liability in defense, whereas De Colo holds his own.

Why?? De Colo is euroleague MVP and F4 MVP at 2016, also this year he was the real man despite Clyburn named MVP. ( He was the star of Real Game. Real game was more desicive than Efes game, whoever wins would past Efes easiliy at final) . On the other hand Larkin had a good year at Baskonia but not superstar level. Also had very bad half year at Efes. He just open the monster mode last 3 months. His potential is very good and he could be comparable with De Colo but insult ??? Larkin is not Westbrook or Harden.

You cant compare the Efes roster with the CSKA roster. CSKA has 3 times more budget and of course the better roster. Winning titles under these circumstances has nothing to say. Another point is de colo failed in nba and larkin is a good bench pg there at least he has the potential. The only point that I criticize is his inconsistency

Haven't really seen anything except some mention that Milano would struggle to afford him due to the other big earning players they have, although I think that was before Nunnally left.
I think he'd rather play for Sfairopoulos than Messina.

Also, don't know if you saw but Obina said that Zvezda made an offer to Teodosic and are supposed to have a meeting with him today.

They must have some chance, he's a Zvezda fan and he'd get to move home and it was mentioned earlier in the thread that a few years ago he stated that he'd like to play there while still in or near the prime of his career.

He supposedly already rejected the offer from Virtus (wants to play in the Euroleague) and Olympiacos just inquired, they never made a firm offer.
We don't know yet about CSKA's intentions or if he might factor into the plans of Efes if Larkin does leave.

I.m not saying there is no difference. Being the president of a club in Turkey (any club, even in the 2nd league) is not just sports-related. $50m loan is probably an investment. Yildirim liked to say how much he spent out of his pocket, too.

De Colo had been playing in Europe for the last 5 years. He just changed the team - it's basically nothing new here. Also he's 32 y.o. guard. He will decline inevitably.
Mirotic vice versa had been playing in NBA for the last 5 years and he did it well. He averaged from 10 pts to almost 17 pts in the season. Also he's only 28 y.o. and still could play well and a lot in NBA. This signing is much more extiting.

What made you believe that?
IMHO, Mirotic is an NBA caliber player in a very good age. It was a huge surprise for anyone that he returned to Europe so early.

I think Mirotic signing is quite exciting, yes, esp him coming back improved from the NBA. Maybe because his most recent performance is still fresh in my mind (a disaster in the Raptors series), I don't see him as influential in Barca as De Colo in Fener. They badly needed a guy like him since Bogdan left. De Colo is also a smart player, sometimes annoyingly so. He should be quite effective.

We know no one is good until they sign with Fener.
Larkin had an outstanding year with Baksonia too, that's why were disappointed in the beginning. Later, well, he was unstoppable in the right time. I even felt bad for Vesely at times.
it's of course not an insult to compare him to any elite guard in the EL.

dont want to start a oly vs pao kinda discussion here but, whole existence of Anadolu EFES is a result of a "get outta jail free" card. corruption works both ways sadly and tends to love the rich and powerful.
