Or, DPG sees himself as a revenue source for Pao, which explains Pao making a profit (!) and DPG complaining about bleeding money... It was neither for basketball branch nor a "revenue"... It's basically a loan to be repaid back. Are you really suggesting there's not a huge difference between an owner and a president? By the way I agree Turkish tax system is a joke, especially indirect taxes against regular people and tax amnesties for big companies, but we digress.

De Colo had been playing in Europe for the last 5 years. He just changed the team - it's basically nothing new here. Also he's 32 y.o. guard. He will decline inevitably.

Mirotic vice versa had been playing in NBA for the last 5 years and he did it well. He averaged from 10 pts to almost 17 pts in the season. Also he's only 28 y.o. and still could play well and a lot in NBA. This signing is much more extiting.

IMHO, Mirotic is an NBA caliber player in a very good age. It was a huge surprise for anyone that he returned to Europe so early.

Mirotic played very well in the NBA especially his playoff run with the Pelicans 2 years ago. He rebounded very well and shot the long ball extremely well. But he also benefited from playing with Anthony Davis and Giannis. That led to a lot of open looks that as a focal point of defenses in the Euroleague might not be there.

IMHO, Mirotic is an NBA caliber player in a very good age. It was a huge surprise for anyone that he returned to Europe so early.

He is just a shooting Big nothing more and his impact on the game is fairly restricted even if he shoots 50%

That 50m was just one-off not in a yearly basis.
