I would have loved to see him in Europe, a guard with NBA record which is not an Athletic monster and have never played in Europe I really want to see how he will handle himself in Europe just for the sake for curiosity.
He was close to signing in Europe earlier in his career, iirc there was a team in Italy after him. That was a few months before Linsanity happened, during the lockout.

But I remember reading a quote from him after he was established in the NBA where he said that he didn't see himself as a guy who would play overseas and make his career there. He would have played in Europe back then because it was a way to make better money than the NBA development league (at the time) and could have been a route back to the NBA. He's an intelligent person who you'd think would enjoy the cultural aspect of playing in different countries, but I think in terms of basketball, he sees it as the NBA or nothing. I did a search and found this:

He went on to play at Harvard, where he set numerous records. He wasn’t picked by any team in the 2010 NBA Draft, but he trained with the Dallas Mavericks’ Summer League team.

With no immediate NBA offers, Lin was reluctant to play overseas. He was on the verge of looking for a career outside of basketball when the Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors, among other teams, expressed their interest in him after his Summer League performance.

Circumstances change, he's had to deal with a bad injury and it seems like the NBA has gone cold on him. He didn't play much with the Raptors and didn't do well when he did, but I think his stats with Atlanta were pretty good. Would be interesting to see him in Europe but as mojo says China seems a lot more likely.

totally incredibile! no way .in mta is irresistible having dunker ! so ,now, having black-hunter why we d need another dunker??? are they even thinking to play with a "painty" dunker pf ?? here is another confirm of sfairopulous mediocre personality. no modern european coach like him , would accept adding acy ,having black hunter. this is a damnation. so why we added hunter??? acy is sure much better . no way, in tel aviv if they havent painty dunker player, as more as possibile, they are unhappy

          • Incredible off season for euroleague, biggest signings I rember in decades

I think we shall make a new thread with a standing list for new signings from NBA

Up until now #1 is for Monroe with Johnson, Mack, Acy and Koufos following. Mirotitic biggest name among all but being European made it easier (like Lin going back to China will make more sense)

            • A greek portal says that Spanish and Lithuanian reports state that Baskonia is close to Nick Staukas.

That would be a great signing for both Baskonia and the EL.

Panathinaikos and Maccabi should join forces and become favorites for the EL. We'll put up our guards and forwards whilst you add Caspi ( ) and C's

                • Incredible summer, multiple signings from nba.
Mirotic, Monroe, Abrines, Koufos, Mack, Johnson, Acy, Stauskas (Mozgov)
And also other like Fredette, Cavanaugh..and Teodosic to bologna.

Nobody wrote about Stefan Markovic to Virtus Bologna. Markovic, Teodosic and Vince Hunter, 3 Euroleague level signing for them. La Gazzetta talked about their budget, which is 15 milions total, 9 gross salaries. (While Milan is going to be 25/27 total, 17€ m gross salaries, 9€ net for coaches and players)

I think that Virtus will win the Eurocup. I hope they do.

It will be great having this Champion club that has been away too long from Europe's elite.

Even if they don't, they the warrant a 2nd Italian ticket purely based on the size of their budget, history and fanbase.

Milano will have a budget close to 20 mil this season (+10 for taxes) when you include 2 mil for Mike James' and Nunnuly's compensation.

Yes I also think they will reach the s.final of Ec at least, and they can win it.
Milan budget last year was 25 total, 15/16 gross salaries, 7/8 net.
This year is a little higher, 26/27 total, 17 gross salaries, 9 net salaries.
Still a lot lower than Net budget salaries of Fenerbahçe, Barcelona, Real and Cska.

Virtus Bologna 15 total, 9 gross salaries, 5 net salaries.

in mta want clearely play with acy as pf. absurd- acy is a good player, in europe would be a good c, but in this case, they shouldnt add hunter. so the problem is not acy ,but the fact that adding hunter. acy signing means he will play in 4 position. also, in mta doesnt see %. his percent are really indecent by 2 and by 3. again a good jumper/dunker, nothing more, altought better than hunter
