Lithuanians are so afraid of having a russian minority that they have made double citizenship impossible.

When you take 13 shots and make only 4 the day your teammates are putting on a shooting clinic, yes, you're having a poor showing as a lead guard. He also messed up several plays that led to rushed shots and turnovers (magically, I see not a single one under his name) when France started pressuring him.

And worst of all, the guy is really terrible on defence. He forgot to switch several times, leading to easy dunks for France. Please, don't get me wrong, the guy is great with the ball on his hands, very safe, usually takes good decisions, can drive to the basket... but without the other guards taking in the toughest defensive assignments and knocking down the three-pointers we'd have lost today.

My point is that when we talk about nationality, your roots, your true inner identity matters. You can't just switch location and pretend that nothing happened, or that you different person inside now. Ante Bros surely more authentic Nigerians than Greeks. Just as Brazdeikis is more authentic Lith, than Canadian, cause his pops both pure Lithuanians and he was watching LTU NT performances together with his father at home.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

          Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
          Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
          Buzelis, Lelevicius
          Murauskas, Sirvydis
          Tubelis, Krivas

My post was more of a jab at the fact that Frank Lubin, born in California and serving the US army in WW2, basically is the reason they have basketball at all in Lithuania. But I guess he will bring up bloodlines for that too.

There are perfect example the inner identity does not need to be devoted to one country. One is at the keyboard right now.

It's theoretically possible, but very rare occasion in reality. Can't you prioritize one nationality, like the most authentic and close to you?

But they didn't switch place. What are you on about? I have been abroad more than the Antetkoumpos. Does that make me greek?

Edit: You conveniently left out the next paragraph:
“I can understand it a little bit. I can count. It’s not like I’m fluent,” Antetokounmpo said of Igbo. “It’s not like I can go back home to Nigeria and they can understand what I am saying. It’s kind of funny.

That doesn't fit your archaic notions though right?

Both of their parents did. But he knows that he still grew up in Nigerian home, Nigerian family. That is a fact which he said by himself. I have no problem that Bros playing for Greece. But they are authentic Nigerians with certain relation with Greece. While Brazdeikis is authentic Lithuanian with certain relation with Canada. While I'm OK with both these cause, it doesn't mean we can't go to particulars and deeper take on these matters.

                        At first he was like:

Rudy Fernandez, captain of the Spanish basketball team, has been against the incorporation of the nationalized American Lorenzo Brown to the Spanish national team for the EuroBasket 2022.

But then ha had a very shady change of mind and he was like:

Spanish national team captainRudy Fernandez, who will play his seventh EuroBasket next September, was one of those who stood against the nationalization ofLorenzo Brown.

                        Oh captain, my captain!

No I can't. You talk about food, I am something, you talk about sport, I am something else, etc...

Woa. He just outscored and outrebounded, by himself, the French trio of Gobert, Poirier and Fall. What a wimp!

Woa. The trident of offensive basketball you mention there. You are reaching hard on this one. Very nitpicky on a 14+11ast double double with zero turnovers (magic or not...) with a better plus minus. And at the same time very nonchalant on the (my opinion) weakest MVP of the last 30 years of Eurobasket having a meh performance in the final.
