I hope so. Doncic should show then that he is the best European player of all time.

No matter what he does in that potential game he can’t clinch that title yet. A lot more to accomplish. A lot.

I would give him that title if he won the final with this Slovenian team RIGHT after the tournament.

Hey everybody is entitled to their opinion but in my book he has to do it on the highest level like Dirk and Giannis have done.

It might be an early prediction but he already won more with his NT than Nowitzki, just a NBA-title is needed. He will eventually end up as the best anyway so giving him that title now is not a big deal.

And I think that’s in the cards for him. Just a matter of time.

There has never been a European player in history that has played the game on a level, that Luka, Giannis and Jokic are playing at the moment, but career wise, those 3 still need to play for another couple of years to claim Nowitzki’s title. Luka’s advantage over those guys is that he also already won Eurobasket and Euroleague and claimed MVP honors, but obviously needs a ring and MVP.

Dirk has two medals. Luka one (for now)

Jokes aside. Of course Luka won gold, but it was not his team, it was Goran's team. Give him time.

I don't believe that team achievement should matter most when ranking players. Or Beno Udrih might be Slovenian GOAT. Or was Kukoc few levels better than Drazen?

It looks to me that Dirk is pretty sure, who's better.

Btw, Luka was voted in first Eurobasket team in 2017, being only 18 years old.

I couldn’t disagree more. Basketball more than any other team sport is about the individual superstar. He is on the court for just about the entire big game and plays both ends of the court. When separating among the greats it’s clinches it and decides it slightly in one’s favor.

I don't think that Dirk's opinion counts. He said the same about Porzingis...

Sure but in Nba, you have to have the right team to win anything. MJ couldn't win anything before they build a team around him with Pippen, LeBron couldn't win anything in Cleveland and he had to move in Miami to form super team. Mavs are far from contending, even if Luka has 35/10/10 season.

Luka has in Europe won everything. Now he can just hope that Mavs build good team around him. It doesn't look good for next few years. Is he worse player because his second best player is Dinwiddie? Not every team can afford to pay 360 mio for the roster like GSW.
