Even if Lithuania will not beat Italy, they are still in safe waters.

Lithuania clear to will fight for the gold medals in EC-2017, (2013 -silver, 2015- silver already fed up ), so the groups opponents is not very important , but with strong opponents will be just very interesting.

          so, those seedings were correct.
the final groups though seem more or less balanced...

Lithuania's result will, like always, depend on the draws. Wouldn't be surprised that with a favorable draw they will win another medal. Won't be surprised if they will not make it past the quarter finals. Anything goes.

If I would rank toughest groups:

              1.D
              2.B
3.A (almost equal as B, but Israel is less of a shark meat than Iceland)
              4.C (Romania, Hungary...).
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

              Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
              Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
              Buzelis, Lelevicius
              Murauskas, Sirvydis
              Tubelis, Krivas

Man,i think our group is toughest!

each team can beat other, alll team can get the pass for the next round, definitely there won't "easy" games in our group!

I like our group, even though it is probably the toughest and has most depth.

The best thing though is that the team will not leave Istanbul for the whole EB. That is a great advantage compared to other teams.

We are among the top favorites for this EB, let's see which roster we will field and who makes the team.

All groups look more or less fair.
As for our group it looks not to bad , i have a feeling Italy will come very prepared for this tournament with new coach, its just not playing to its full potential for to long now...Lets not forget if not Maciulis, and Javtokas to the rescue when JV chocked against Pachulia we could have lost against Georgia..Israel will be home and all of its gameplay will be around its leader Casspi of course...Ukraine is the outsider in this group will come last with no wins...And i will put Germany right up there with Georgia even above maybe, they have some young talented players and of course Schoder, Voigman... But to early to judge anyways god knows what kind of team Lithuania will be in this tourmanent, lets not forget 2009.

I see only Turkey as a potential upset for Serbia. But still Serbia could have been in a worse group its not the toughest come on. Almost guaranteed 1st place.

Serbia's group is probably the toughest due to depth, that's what I meant. Other groups have more top notch teams, like your with Italy for example or Spain and Croatia etc. On the other hand our group has zero easy games. Belgium is not an easy game for sure. I am not saying we shouldn't beat all of these teams (we should) but we will have to show up for each game. if Latvia comes with Bertans and Porzingis, Russia with Mozgov, Shved etc, Turkey with full roster, those will be competitive games. GB can have a good game and is athletic, if the NBA players show up they will be competitive also. There is no extreme quality outside of Serbia, but a lot of depth. The rest of the groups have 1 or 2 walkover teams, that will be 50% effort games.

I like tough group play, it helps raise the teams focus for the rest of the tournament. That is why I said I like the group. Also being in Istanbul for the whole tournament is a great advantage.

Again, this all means nothing now. We have no idea who will play for each of the teams. That will be a major thing..

I don't think that there will be many absences. Let's not forget that this Eurobasket is the last one until 2021, and that in 2018 there will be no other international tournaments for European national teams.

I agree,I read will be also Juan carlos Navarro and Pau Gasol,so Spain will be the main favourtie in this tournament!

This EB will be the last chance for our generation(Bargnani,Belinelli,Gallinari,Datome and Hackett i) to win a medal, actually i'm not so optimistic about our NT,but i hope that i'm wrong !
