croatia, bosnia-hercegovina in a next little group

rest of the teams irrelevant for world championship
I think Serbia and Italy is overated in this list.Serbia is not that strong. France or Greece can easily beat them.Spain with Pau is invincible.I doubt if Italy can play quarter-finals. When did Italy play quarter-final in which championship in the last years?
    My predictions for 2013:
    Gold: Spain
    Silver: Russia
    Bronze: Greece
4th: France( can also make bronze)
    5,6,7: Slovenia,Lithuania,Serbia
    I can't guess 8th team

    • Spain will probably be without Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol and Juan Carlos Navarro and definitively without Felipe Reyes (retired from the NT). Serge Ibaka and Nikola Mirotic are pissed with the Spanish Federation and probably won’t be in Slovenia either (unless Mirotic plays for Montenegro). No medals for Spain next year.

This Italian team is doing great and are on track to a medal finish (and I am not saying this just because they kicked the living ghost out of us).

Where did you get these informations? If Spain will play without Gasol brothers, Navarra and Ibaka, of course no medal for them. I don't see any reason for Spain not to play without Marc Gasol and Ibaka-Mirotic( 1 naturalized rule). Pau Gasol is 32 and still fit.He can easily play one more tournemant and dominate European front-courts. He is the best ever in Europe... Italy may have some chance for quarter-final but no medal contender.

Current Serbian team has a lot of fluctuations so its hard to tell what we can really do, we can win gold and we can also have total disaster, so we will see, but we must qualify first.

Spain with strongest squad will 90% have a place in the final, Russia is little weaker but still second favorite, than comes 5-6 teams that are very equal.
This is the age we are currently living in, where war is peace, ignorance is strength and slavery is freedom.

I forgot to mention that José Manuel Calderón is also doubtful for the 2013 EuroBasket.

              • Why is Greece so considered? I highly doubt he'll fight for the medals...

                • Latvia easily won vs Romania, who were struggling in offence for whole game. They played individually and either committing turnovers or taking unprepared shots, what Latvia used for easy fast breaks points (often for 3 points). In 4th quarter Kuksiks was hot, hitting something like 4 three pointers in a row (in whole game 5/7).

Any links for Czech - Turkey game ?

Nothing happened. We are some overated team. We have very weak PG-SF rotation and helping defence. Turkish basketball goes to big crisis.

                            • Point Differential really matters if you get stuck in the third spot, so huge loss for Turkey today. Not ready to write them off yet though since both losses happened on the road, maybe they'll play better in their friendly confines.
