In modern days where people come and go from one country to another you see many changes.maybe you were living in a cave so many years.but let me inform you that every nation lives in every nation of the world.the thing is where you bornt and where you live in your life.plus your parents.leave the rest in your cave and your small size brain.
And next time check stats.not only we have some black people around us in Greece but even we as Greeks have something black on us..
Haha this is hilarious. I don’t know what makes you think that I’m questing his identity or nationality, lol he is much more Greek than I’m Russian. Though I still could bet that his skin color is a contrast to at least 90% of those who are of Greek ethnicity (as well as his weight but in this case his color was mentioned) . If you see anything wrong in statement like this, then sorry, tiger, but your cage is darker than mine

You got me wrong again. I'm not proud for my ethnicity (neither I know if Sofo is). It just happened. I'm proud only for my personal achievements. I explained what I meant about Sofo, I was just repeating the well known cliche.

Actually, you got me wrong, I kinda used sarcasm icon…

O, and look at this photo:

On the left side French team that won bronze medal on European Championship in 1959. And on the right French team of 2011. Maybe the Croats are going to make some similar changes on their team.
And this is supposed to be funny, interesting or what?We lost, get over it!

If you weren't questioning his nationality (his ethnicity actually, because you cannot have any opinion about his citizenship) then what was the point of your initial post? Just an innocent joke with the words "color" and "contrast" ?

        • Hey Guys! What's up?

I was repassing around, reading what can be found on this match that I gladly saw entirely.

I have to say, I should assess a few things:

          Nationality question

Nationality definition can be set differently according to countries. In France is recognized the right of the soil, and the right of the blood. Meaning that one person born on the French soil, wherever his parents nationality is, is considered as French. A kid that arrived early in France and is scolarized(I think it's a criteria, and, at least an exigence) may be automatically given the French nationality after a certain amount of time spent in the country(5years I think, but can't confirm). An adult person can be awarded French Nationality after 10 years in the country, 1(maybe plus now) if maried with a French citizen. A kid bron from at least 1 parent holding the French nationality is French.
And, let's face it, these rules were not made to create a super basketball team. Not more than in the US, basketball is more played by black people at top level than by whites. It's a simple social issue that is the cause of it.
For France, the fact we still possess overseas territories, that underwent a more or less similar story as the US plays a big role in the presence of coloured people in the basketball team, as these territories have more influence from the US and NBA basketball. A huge prospection job is also done there by former players, such as Jim Bilba.
Thus, this French team does not include any naturalized player, although they are not all born in france from 2 French parents.
If French citizenship was to be given this way, there would not be a single French in this whole world.

Of French Team as now, only Noah has not been taught basketball in France. Yet, he is French by his father, who was born in France from a Camerounese soccer player.

Guys, please, just open your mind before saying that such or such player is not French, British, German or etc... just on skin colour. Acb.com has been doing the same thing, and it's very sad an institutional site decides to speak this way. Nationality is a very complex question. And all teams respect the rules.

Noah's experience as a EuroBall player.

Noah, in an interview, recognized he did not know players playing in Europe. he is not so bad, but has not the style of play for Europe. He still struggles a bit for me defensively, because he does not take contact so early and strongly in the post. He is naive, considering how vicious players are generally in Europe. Teodosic gave him in this game an offensive foul by flopping so evidently, yet, the refs will always whistle in this way, especially if it's Teodosic flopping. It's an example.
In offense, he is a good enough player to play his role, able sometimes to place his moves or to make the right pass. At least, he is not a liability in the game, and will improve.

          Refs in this game.

Ok, France might have had more FTs than Serbia.... But our game was much more turned towards the basket than the Serbian one. How many times our guys got bumped in the paint while shooting, or attacking the basket. How many times Parker was thrown to the floor and no foul called. It was the same in the other way, with refs whistling hand checking but not moving contacts. Yet, this way of refereeing the game was helping Serbia more than France. The last shot of Teodosic in the 1st half was a complete trick, if the refs had stayed coherent woth their 1st half decisions, it would have been a lost ball. For me, France should have had at least at the end of the game 10 more fouls provoked than Serbia for the engagement of French players to be fairly judged.

          3 points shooting:

I kept saying on French sites that despite our recent Huge percentage, France is not yet a team of shooters. During the tournament as now, our percentage are very high because Batum, Gelabale only take very open shots, and they make them. But, nothing exceptionnal, we saw Keselj making the same shots a few times.
Usually, teams are still defending very close to the basket against us. So, we need to get some early 3s going to open the game for Parker, Diaw or Noah. Against Serbia, Ivkovic decided to limit our 3 point shooting, and in 45 minutes, we took only 7.
This team is quite good at taking what is given by the defense, and not forcing long range shots. They know they are better in doing something else, and all players in the 5 bring something, so defense yet has to keep up with everyone.
          It's a bird? It's a plane? No, it's Rudy!

My initial post had no colors Answer was to tease you, I found funny that Greek explains that black man can be of 100% Greek ethnicity and out of all possible terms mentions that he can be “proud” too. But you again came with colors, so enjoy your racism if you see stress here…

Get over what!? We played well, I am not worried about our success.
Now, about that photo. No it just shows that French team, about 50 years ago didn't have any black player on their team, and now only their coach is white. That shows us that colonialism is an ugly thing.

                  How and why exactly?

                  Edit (to be more specific):
                  Why is colonialism ugly?
How does that picture show us that?
"One more thing, if any admin delit this topic than the next time you will hear from me will not be on this forum but in a court of law with human right crimes on your shoulders, racism, nazism, breaking international law."

BUt what really pisses me its that stupid fiba rule about one naturalised player.Comon all those pointgurads of ukraine, bulgaria, georgia, croatia, makedonia, russia (not this year) and so on ... are just stupid rule. Those afro-americans has nothing to do with that country .I could bet they are getting money for playing in fibas competion from the federations. For them its just job in summer, when its offseason nothing more.
I would never support if our federation decided to get a black pointguard as many euro teams are doing. There left less and less nations playing with their own blood, not that faked one.God damm its euro team basketball where team has 3 players born in their country and 9 in africa.Isnt it enough?
Never support this desicion, firstly its not about winning, its about countrys pride.Only real patriot of his nation could understand what its mean to play for his country, what afro-can understand or feel ? nothing its only good payed job for him.
Its better to loose and be proud of guys who played their hearts out for their nation, than to see how afro citrizen with his shot is winning euro championship...
So the black French people are "fake Frances"?

So you'd have no problem if your federation got a white point guard not from your country?

Not sure if you're racist or just ignorant, either way, it's screwed up logic.

i guess the answer is NO since he has no objection to Polish brothers Lawrinowicz playing for Lithuania NT.
