this is a weak argument, it would stand if ivkovic had something to do with krstic throwing the chair, which he obviously didn't.

You're talking about Pnini as if he threw a chair on Krstic's head

That situation was in huge fight, where if you look closely everyone attacked everyone. Chair attack was clearly stupid move and he will probably remember that for rest of his life.

What pnini is doing is disgraceful because there is no affect it's clear and planed move to provoke the players of opposing team. He is doing "low" moves which are known for very rude and low moral people.

        to someone above:
it's not about did he hurt the player, it's about what he did and what he did after what he did.

Can you know for sure there was nothing Krstic has done to drag Pnini in this? Put Pnini's history aside and think, there are many things in basketball that cameras don't catch and Krstic has shown he isn't exactly an angel. And throwing a chair on an opponent's head is way, way lower than giving a little hit on the stomach, no matter what's the situation. The first is illegal and should have had Krstic on court (and not the basketball court) while the 2nd is something 'dirty' in basketball, nothing more and that is without knowing whether it came as a reaction to an act by Krstic. Seriously calling Pnini a disgrace? Wow.. Double standart much?

At least he stood against this giant with no fear, Krstic with all his gigantic body just ran away from Sofo and then used a chair.. manly! (I hope you do get this part wasn't serious)

PS are you guys serious about this ref being Serbian or is it just a joke?

He had some weird calls, before that I thought: meh just another below-average ref. But if he's Serbian and judges in a game of Serbia then yes it does change something.. Do you seriously see no problem with that?

Well if you check the history every from ex-Yugoslavia can be counted as Serbian... just because he has origins doesn't make him make one sided calls.

Let me paraphrase it for you...
                  He's Serbian, actually...
He's Macedonian national of Serbian descent. Better now.
How he personally feels I really don't know. Maybe he feels like Guarani.

I don't know how he feels about his Serbian origins or did it change his calls but wouldn't it make more sense to avoid putting him on a game of Serbia? Wouldn't it be better than just assuming it won't change his calls? Would you see it as nothing if it was the opposite way?

On world cup every USA judge shouldn't judge a game where there is at least one naturalized player born in USA or with USA passport. Now that would be interesting to see. Those referees could be on 2-3 games per event.

There is a difference between an American ref in a game with an American naturalized player and an American ref in a game of USA.

I learned to used the word FYROM when in this forum
And he is Macedonian/FYROMian(or something like that) but he has Serbian roots, I have no idea if by roots we're talking about his parents came from Serbia or by roots we're talking about 15 generations ago, either way it really depends on how he defines himself and I guess and want to believe that if there was any reason for him not to ref this game he would say that. Anyway really useless to talk about a game that already happened and was won fairly, but what I wanted to say is that it was better to avoid putting him in this match so that such speculations wouldn't be necessary. But if they don't see a problem with expanding to 24 teams after the quali tournament than I really don't expect they'd see a problem with this situation..
