Anyway as Morente said Yugoslavia has a great basketball history.Greatest in Europe (and the rest of the world exc. US ) together with SSSR.Probably even greater then SSSR.
Besides didnt some people in Croatia say Aco Petrović is a Serb, meaning that his brother Dražen was also of Serbian origin.Trully one of the greatest basketball players in the world.Originally posted by StardustedIt was not a ref mistake, it was a ref decision.

Team is too young now and could take them some years to develop to their full potential.Originally posted by StardustedIt was not a ref mistake, it was a ref decision.

Dražen Petrović (Serbian Cyrillic: Дражен Петровић ), (October 22, 1964 – June 7, 1993) was a Yugoslav and Croatian basketball player of Serbian origin.
If their grandmother is of serbian origin that means their father or mother is also of serbian origin.Originally posted by StardustedIt was not a ref mistake, it was a ref decision.

"Born in Šibenik, a city in Dalmatia, in the former Yugoslavia, Dražen Petrović was the second child of Jovan and Biserka Petrović. The couple's first child, Aleksandar, would be the first one to tread the basketball path, providing a lead for young Petrović to follow.
He was the close cousin of great Serbian baketball player Dejan Bodiroga. Dejan's grandmother (on his father's side) and Drazen's grandfather (also on his father's side) are brother and sister, making Bodiroga and Petrović second cousins."
Jovan Petrović sounds Serbian to me.Originally posted by StardustedIt was not a ref mistake, it was a ref decision.

Get over the Petrovic thing, he chose to play for Croatia so he is croat with serbian blood in him from his dads side but his mum is croatian, he chose the side wear he is born. Marko Popovic is also another player that has Serbian blood his father was a basketballer also from Montenegro my father tells me.
Its like in football, Dado Prso and Goran Vlaovic are Serbs that played for Croatia.

That's just our fucking mentality, before this tournament nobody dared to speak about Serbia's placement. Many expected from them to fail, just to feed their sick ego and now there are many posters here making enormous pressure on this talented team, wanting gold from them in near future tournaments.
We need to stay on earth, this is huge success and I'm happy like a child, but this is just beginning of one team and we have to give them real support not some fake boost, that will transfer into hysteria and hatred if they maybe not succeed. And we all know that we are capable of doing such things.
I really love this guys, they are our future, not some Rakočevićs and Stojakovićs. I believe in them, they are fighters and winners, but it is too early to speak of golds and medal streaks. Not to even mention that arrogant word domination, which is pure bullshit in nowadays modern basketball.
