Do you think Serbia can dominate European basketball once again ?

Yes, Serbia can dominate again. Now that they have this new talented generation they should use them to create a great chemistry and grow as a team. Taking again for the NT some players again will not help, i'm talking about Milicic, Rakocevic and other players that play for themselves more than for the team.
Let the kids grow and you will have a talented generation that will bring probably some titles, otherwise you will see more funny videos in Youtube starred by Darko Milicic and his funny comments about referees (or their families).

Also, teams like AEK stretched themselves financially spending too much money that they did not have and came close to bankrupsy. So most people except hard core fans have lost interest since. PAO use to get over 10000 fans in their games. Now they are lucky if they get half of that against a medium strength greek team.
BTW I watched Euroleague semi Pana-Oly at Cyprus with some Greek Oly fans.Great guys thow.

The overrating of the NBA is absurd these days. They win the Olympics with their top level players and magically everyone forgets that they can't get better than a bronze at a big tournament even with using the 5th-15th best players in the NBA type of a team.
If the NBA sent even an all star type team to a big tournament they would not even medal. Yet supposedly other national teams are filled with "scrubs that can't play in the NBA". It's stupid and it's false.
The NBA has a SMALL NUMBER of elite players and outside of that the typical player is no better than the typical Euroleague player. People that say otherwise, whether European or American simply do not know basketball.

My last post primary concern was directed towards your statement where you refer to pavlovic and his playing time iwth Minnesota.
Pardon me if my way of expression was a bit blur in my post in that regard.
Regarding Darko, i generally agree with your comments.
By the way, I am lately sensing some form of fear in the forum concering Milicic rejoining the Serbian NT from users not being ethnic Serbs, by judging from numerous comments. Of course, Milicic's absence is being reflected as a generally highly positive thing for the Serbian NT, which in my honest opinion bears connotations with it.Last edited by Guest; 09-22-2009, 09:10 PM.
