Congratulations to the Liths. I know it is bitter for them too, like it is for us, but still they deserved the medal.

Of course man. With whom will you pick n roll if not with Fotsis or Sofo? Papadopoulos? lol He is so slow I have to check if i am watching the game in slow motion! He is a great player but not for pick and rolls

You could clearly see that Greece was missing Sofo and Fotsis. Bourousis and Pelekanos were clearly less effective. When Sofo was in the game he got at least two guys on him. He is a beast.

That's why Papaloukas was not good this year. Cause he didn't have the right team players to pass the ball.

But you know. European basketball is so competitive. If not for some minor details Greece could have beaten Spain and we wouldn't be having this conversation. We would have said how great Greece is etc etc. Point is that they're there. A long with the elite teams of the world. Three years in a row.

BTW. There is no way Greece would have played the final last year without Fotsis and Sofo.

Now i'm looking forward and i hope to see Macas (100%!!!) and Ilgauskas addition in Olimpics.

Huge respect to Saras and Sisko who are great players and showed it once again tonight. I believe that with Macas and Ilgauskas they would be playing the final right now.

After a game Sarunas was talking much in press conference. You may guess that he was happy about winning gold or a ticket to olimpics, but thats not it.
He critisized rules of this eurobasket. he was angry about playing without resting day when the other team rests. He also said that it was the only thing that did not allow lithuania to go in the final. And he feeled annoyed with all the system - Lithuania wins all the games and in order to get some pluses for it they are getting only penalties. He was talking really much about these things..
Greece coach also said a few statements about this unfairness..
In the end Jasikevicius said only said one thing - "See You next Year..".
You may call it excuses but i do think that with a normal rest day Lithuania wouldnt have lost against Russians.
I do not see any chances for them to beet Spain to be fair. But a win is a win and thats sad.

Yes, Saras hardly criticize FiBA. I agree, it's nonsence that the team who won all 6 games has no advantage, conversely Lithuania played without rest while Croatia and Russia had...nonsense. But anyway, the final words of Jasikevicius is something speciall " thank you and see you next year"
