Congrats Lithuania, great shooting. Wish we had played a little better, we needed more guys to step up, but they didn’t. The Olympic ticket seems far away now. Another 4th place...

Well i think it was fair. Lietuva deserved the win n the third place. Greece got 4rth which is also fair. I mean we lost from Russia, Spain, Lietuva so....fairly we are fourth! Congrats to Lithuania.

P.S. I did not watch the Greece - Spain forum at my place yesterday and i come back tpday to check on the forum and the thread is closed. What happend?

thats the place greece deserved with the way they played this year.
what im afraid is , i read from some newspapers after the slovenia game calling them great team heroes etc...i think everybody has to look in why greece played that bad in this tournament.was fotsis absence so important?

That bad? perhaps but you are 4th, and you lost the last game by a small margin, so it's not that bad.

Anyway, the Eurobasket is over for Greece at last. We didn't succeed to defend our title but 4th place is not that bad. Especially with those bad games we did in the beginning. But it's ok.. I would like to thank our players for their efforts.

1st in euro 2005, 2nd in World 2006, 4th in euro 2007. Not bad !

Now we have to get to Olympic through the pre-tournament. I am sure we'll do it !

Why did obradovic left Siska go? Wasnt he good enough? lol!

Congratulations 2 Lithuania, they shot extremely well and deservedly won.But why didn't shoot like that yesterday?
Both teams looked disappointed, so psychology counted even more.The key was that every time we tried 2 come back, they scored a 3p and gained much on psychology.They got many second chances, especially in the first half and this helped them maintain a small lead then.The key part of the match was imo the start of the 3rd quarter when Lithuania managed 2 make some difficult shots.Thus instead of a close game Lithuania had a stable lead which they kept till the end.
Congratulations 2 Greece also, we gave our best effort as the tournament progressed.By improving in the knockout rounds the team turned around the feeling that we had in Greece 4 them.We were until yesterday the champions and we'll b there again competing 4 the top places in the future with the right additions.
I strongly believe that we will b in the Olympic Games no matter if there will b a qualification tournament or not.I also wish that Lithuania will b with a full roster at last so that we can watch that great team in full strength.
Now it's time 4 the final and 4 Russia 2 win the gold.Get your tissues everybody

It was obvious from the very first friendly game that Greece had a big problem this year. The team play was horrible. No chemistry in offense. No pressure in defense non existent. I am wondering what happend to this team.

One positive outcome of this tournament is the performance of Vassilopoulos. He will be a valueable member of the NT in future tournaments.

I think that it is time for Giannakis to make some bigger changes next year in the teams roster.

what a game! first bronze in the history! fantastic! it would be better fight in the final, but finished championship with one loss and 3rd is very very good result!
respect for all team! wonderful emotions during all championship, and if we could win semifinal it would be perfect!

Saras is the admiral of European basketball! maybe he wasn't 100% in this tournament, also he was injuried but he's still a great player and i hope he'll play in Europe this season! Siska is amazing. Addition like? I would gladly hear your arguments. I mean i can not think a better roster (fotsis sofo and maybe Koufos did not play this year for various reasons) than this year's
Also what was so bad about it? They did reach the semifinals. Change a team that is at top level?
