-
Aside from from the imports and Stephen Holt (Ginebra) are any other player currently playing in this ongoing Commissioner’s Cup has had played at least one game in NBA’s G League?
I understand former PBA players Bobby Ray Parks and Mikey Williams did appeared and played few G League games.
At present there 3 Filos who are in G League team rosters : Ron Harper Jr., Boogie Ellis and Jarod Lucas. Louis-Pierre bothers Nate and Josh were recently cut from their respective G League teams.

Is Jayden Harper already playing college basketball? I keep checking his IG and it looks like he is not in D1 College Basketball. I can't even see if he is still actively playing basketball. I had high hopes for him, a 6'7 sweet shooting guard with a long wing span. Pretty sure if he did not get a chance at US, those offers from UAAP are just lurking around. Another one is Dasean Brodie, he was impressive in those NBTC games and it looks like he did not get to play D1 Basketball too. They are born-2005 so this is supposedly their rookie year atleast. I hope they could atleast try to have a career here in the PH.
Jayden was even rated as a 3-star recruit by the ESPN, so it is wild to me how did he not get D1 offer at this point. Let alone from lower leagues like D2, JUCO.
On the other hand, I think Dasean did get a D1 if I remember correctly.

Hey, maybe the Ateneo can facilitate a transfer for Pachucki
I had the pleasure of coaching him when he was still cross-training in basketball. Great young man and will go far.

Fil-Am Nation’s Andrew Miller has committed to UC Irvine. Though I am not sure if he will go on a 2-year LDS mission first (as historically, former UCI commits with LDS background have done so before suiting up). If so, Earliest he’ll join the Anteaters is 2027.

At best Ron Jr. can be tap in SEA or Asian Games as local if its organisers will not implement FIBA eligibility rules. But as NP in a FIBA tourney. With Dylan we must concede that our chances had dimmed when he suited with US under-19 NT. At this stage his ceiling is much higher compared to JC when the Jazz’ star about of same age of 18 or 19.
I've already mentioned some stuff to the other thread.
but I need to establish some info to this reply as well
the mother was born here, I think in one of the interview with the Dean she mentioned Lourdes Hospital
which btw. was part of the Sta.Mesa or Kalentong extension in the extreme boundary of Mandaluyong City, San Juan and Manila
as a commuter guy I used to ply that area using PUV of Pasig-Quiapo route.
considered as one of the many dreaded choke point of the Metro(truly, not recommended for those who had a short fuse)
but highly recommended to those extreme lovers who are into the so-called "sharing moments".
now back to the bros.
I totally agree that it's still a long shot if were talking about Olympics 2032 and WC cycle of 2031 to 2035
the bottomline here is depends on our stakeholders if they are warm and fuzzy about putting the Harpers to the Gilas Program moving forward..that's the crucial part.
as for the two. RHJ will take a much longer route because he is now in his mid-20's and for that he literally need to be involve domestically
compared to Dylan who is now (on his early) 19 yrs. old
we've already the FIBA handbook on players who already played in a sanctioned tourney during his/her youth days but are planning to shift NF
it is literally stated the 23 yr. old cut-off for such thing.
as for my personal opinion and observation.
the former No. 2 pick and FIBA U18 and WC U19(?) MVP Jalen Green is still the "Gold Standard amongst the Pinoy Hafus".
but we are fully aware at 6'5 he is just a typical fish in Uncle Sam's vast backyard.
same with 6'5 Dylan Harper it's such long shot to crack the final 12
but if were talking the 6'7 and above level that's another story.
just being realistic
Gilas Stakeholders, the Harper family, PH Passport and USA Basketball should agreed on those obvious terms
that's the narrative to those bros.
