This was discussed multiple times before, its a two way street, most of these kids or their parenrs arent really willing to put the time to process the papers required. Besides, the higher your stock is in the ncaa the less incentive you have in doing so.

Exemption is the mom of the Duncan brothers, their pinay mom(Melinda Severo) don't know that to be FIBA eligible his sons should be a Philippine passport holder before their 16th bday. Funny is that some local universities and colleges tried to recruit his sons to play college ball in Philippines but didn't inform her about the Batang Gilas and the passport thing.

      Ernie Duncan 6'3(pg) graduated 2019(Vermont U)
      Everett Duncan 6'6(wing) redshirt senior(Vermont U)
      Stanley Duncan 6'5(wing) graduated 2019(Anderson University D3)
      Robin Duncan 6'5(facilitator) sophomore(Vermont U)

After seeing their game, I think they are not that good.

Thought they are sons of tim duncan. But it is not.

A lot of our younger players are beyter than them. If there are players we can "Panghinayangan". It is jalen green ,Ballungay, barefield, and maybe qmb.

Ernie, Everett and Robin are mid-major talents while Ballungay is what, D2? And also Jalen Green, Kamaka and QMB are 2nd or 3rd generation pinoy in US, so medyo malabo na para makakuha ng Phil passport..

We have to thank Ateneno for discovering them. Daig pa SBP.

Hopefully Femi or Toby grow to be 7 footers. Ben is already projected to grow 7 feet or more.

Just imagine a Olympics 2028 of Gilas starting 5 of 4 Edu's and Kai Sotto -- average height of 6'11 perhaps. Butata lahat ng tira ng US team.
Femi i think will be shorter than AJ

Markynoll Coach actually is also contacted by SBP. Looks like their coach dont eant to give up sage. Bad move by sbp letting the coach know. They should go to sage and his parents directly. And sge camp will take care of markynoll coaching staffs

What important is they are eligible. In 2027

We have 4 edus, Kai, Panopio, Martin, clarkson, kirkness, sage(maybe), ildefonso, cj, bolick.

Kai,Cj,dave, bolick are the only homegrown pinoy I know. But still, we need to take advantage of the rule.

Just like how greece snatch antetokoumpo brothers from nigeria.

He doesnt want to represent philippines anyway.
But he is good to play in NBA, I think. So for me, he and other Filipino ballers in US are still worth following.

Kai Ballungay is an example of racial discrimination. If he were black, he would be in D1. The guy is lean, fast, strong, athletic. He would definitely be a star in the Philippines if he were here playing college basketball. At the very least, he should be in the reserve role of one of the more than 300 D1 schools in US.

He was the 2nd best player next to Jalen Green when they visited during the NBTC Invitational, eclipsing Elijah Jackson and Jeron Artest.

Size is the only issue, but he could be the next best filam in the League .....until Jalen Green becomes eligible
I agree, he's is making a case for himself. Let's wish him continued success. The guy is very proud of his Filipino roots, just like Jordan.

Because of his height and skills, SBP should send a person to knock on their door. Coaches and scouts do that when recruiting a top prospect.

Letters are not enough for such opportunity as Sage. Heck, the email may had just as well gone to the SPAM Folder automatically and never been read. And snail mail may similarly had gone unnoticed and put along with the usual junk mails that go into the trash.

Did he secure his passport in time to be eligible to play for Gilas? Although it seems he wasnt very interested in playing in the Philippines based on his interviews.
