Yes. But if Jalen becomes an Nba Star, he will most probably be play for Team USA.

Jalen always choose USA over Philippines.

    Especially he lives in USA.

We all know that team USA is always loaded at the wings. I mean there's abundance of shooting guards & small forward in the NBA. If Jalen Green would become an NBA "star" (not a superstar), his NBA stature would just be like that of a Jordan Clarkson, more or less. Hence, his chances of being picked for team USA would be very slim.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Jalen has the makings of an all star. IMO he will be a much bigger star than JC.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

daming hindi nakukuha, unless he'll volunteer of course. But I think USA Basketball can't force him if he does not want to play for them and he chooses to play for another NT.However, my 1st questions are,1) will FIBA allow it? 2) will the American fans like it? 3) How much will it cost for that to happen?

            1. As far as I know Usa and Philippines must agree in terms of Green playing for phil.
2.Of course not. It is like Lebron Lopez playing for Angola.
            3. Very expensive atleast. Eapecially if he is a star, all star, or superstar

Di naman, I like to say Becky Hamon playing for Russia but of course Russia is like another degree of burn, if you ask the Americans. I think it would be lesser than Becky Hamon's Olympic stint.

Well a number of current Philippine passport holders fall under the same situation (I'm not a legal person to explain how) and while his focus is current college career , like almost anyone if presented an a good offer he may accept , his family is open to what ever may come in the future (haven't closed door)
I'm sure situation in the future is same for guys like Chirstian David etc as an alternative if career in the US does not pan out

these guys mindset are not any different from guys like Blatche or even Marcus. bakit hindi.. just give an offer

PBA needs like Kemaka Hepa and Christian David so that di maging midget league ang liga.. hahahahahahhaha!!!
Yes of course naturalize player sila like Clarkson, Standhardiger

                          • I hope David and Hepa go to the PBA and Belga gives them a proper welcome and they go pack their bags and leave. hahaha

This should the right mindset when dealing with Foreigners with Filipino blood. We shouldn’t cry over them and hope they fail in their career when Team USA was the obvious better offer. A sure gold medal along with multiple college scholarships and other benefits. Why not? Not every foreigner with filipino blood HAS to play for us. Enzo Flojo was right if they really wanted to they’ll apply themselves with the support of SBP. If they want to make Philippines their second option so be it lol

It’s not always SBP’s fault, not always the parents’ fault neither the kid’s fault. That’s just the way it is. Imagine if Australia cried over guys like Matisse Thybule and Kyrie Irving. Australia doesn’t wish that their career falls off or gets a “proper welcome” when they play back in the country.

“That’s nice he has Pinoy blood. Would he be keen to play for us?”
‘No. Im committed to (another country) since I was born there, developed there and grew up there. I feel more connected with this country. I’m still proud of my filipino roots though’
“Okay us filipinos will still support you for being proud of your roots”
Thats how we should think of these foreigners with pinoy blood.

                              • Question , remember the Fil sham thing, where we had Sonny Alvarado, and Parker (?) ba and others , my question is this , did those guys get a Philippine passport? now let's assume wala talagang pinoy blood yun, the question then is how did they get a Philippine passport ? u see there is some kind of doctor magic going on lol.. but the point here is this, if someone in anyway has suspected of being able to pass of ounce of Filipino blood , eh di let the authorities make doctor magic.. in other words they're naturalized ( and don't pass through congress
