JC, for the most part, played point wherein he dished out the assists and directed play when necessary. This allowed Pringle some leeway to concentrate on scoring. There were instances when Gabe also played the point.

The 1-2-3 positions are basically interchangeable nowadays due to 6'5 back courts being a thing in the NBA.
Kaya nga i say that getting a small point guard (5'8-5'10) does not have anymore sense. Guys like Nonoy and Romeo or the like players should be taken out of the equation in consideration for Gilas.

With enough bigs and flexible players at 1, 2 and 3 spots, we might no longer need to naturalized a player. Just reserve a slot to a capable ineligible fil-for (JC).

        For the most part, yes.

I say we keep one slot open for an explosive 5'8-5'10 guard like the Abarrientos kid.

Hahahaha totally get this statement, well I'm trying to temper my expectations since the chance of getting Vyctorious, Harper & this kid (as locals) would seem like a too-good-to-be-true scenario but if we could end up getting this kid (only) okay na ko dun

SBP needs to help these kids fix their documents,Caeluk Harris,Jayden Harper and Victorius Miller. These kids will eventually grow up at least 6'6 or 6'7,appropriate for the small forward position. Are they going to be ready after 2 years? We don't know but what if 1 or 2 of them develops at least 60-70% of the skills and capabilities of Jalen Green? Some of them (if not all) becomes at least a 4 star recruit.I think with that skill set, it will be enough to be invited for the national senior men's team. Not to mention we will soon have Lebron Lopez to play in the US,lets just hope he'll improve tremendously in the span of 2 years. Getting 1 or 2 of them will be good enough to play alongside kuya Kobe, Jordan Clarkson now can either play 1 or 2.Another person we should look at in terms of development is 6'6 Lowell Briones jr.,hopefully all of them ends up in a D1 team. Might be along shot because of their age but who knows.

The issue a coach is avoiding is cross switching from defense to offense, as JC is our primary perimeter offensive player like MJ whose energy and fouls needs to be saved on defence , you want a Pippen like player alongside him to focus defend the opposing's best perimeter wing scorer, for the rival teams were talking about this is normally the SG, around 6'3 that requires energy to chase.
So what happens in transition is teams are unable in many instances to assign the SG(Webster bros) to our default SF in our case JC, because it is a cross switch.
In essence were using our strength, speed and advantage of two interchangeable players like JC and Dwight/Parks at the 2/3 position which is really essential.
Our problem before is we only have 1 of them Norwood on the court with the other being like Chan, or even Castro /Romeo, which is too small
BTW PG who is around 6ish and a good defender is also key, to increasing the competivness with all around length

Even with an old but still agile and athletic and very productive Brownlee, I think Clarkson will play magnificent music with the rest of the team. One thing JC needs to balance a bit is his tunnel vision and maybe post at least 9 or more assists a game and with enough and proper supporting cast,he could do this.

Hoping it will materialized because it will benefit almost all countries, because they can't compete internationally with full potential if they have limited players at their roster.. Vietnam can put both Dierker and Justin Young, Thailand can parade both Lamb and Morgan, Indonesia will have Jawato with Prosper, Taiwan will have Jeremy Lin alongside a naturalized player.. China will also benefit here, Iran will also benefit.. even Spain can play both Mirotic and Ibaka on the floor.. while us eh we can now have Clarkson finally alongside another naturalized player... FIBA should think that basketball is now global sport, spectator.. It will more competitive as ever and can be a major rival of football as most favorite sport.. although a long shot but atleast it will strengthen their position as the 2nd most popular sport..
they think this rule can be abused because a team could field in 11 heritage players plus one naturalized player,as if the Hagop rules were not used by Qatar to field in foreign players with not even a hint of Qatari blood actually made the rule irrelevant and a lot more absurd

Judging from Parks defensive game at present, comparatively with Norwood's defense, I say the latter is better (I think Norwood has already proven himself defensively in the FIBA game, while Parks has yet to prove himself). But I think no one here will argue if I say that Parks has better offensive game than Norwood. I think in terms of confidence alone, Parks has more confidence with his offense than Norwood does with his own offense.

Bro, as robert0326 mentioned, "...that FIBA might insist another spot for Heritage players aside from naturalized player". Which means that only one heritage player would be allowed per team. So for instance with Gilas, Clarkson can take that heritage player spot, then either Chris McCullough or Ange Kouama takes that naturalized player spot.
