Yes, they're going with what they know, it's what good businesses do. And in their case, they know showbiz. But, if they really want to go that route, they would be very much more successful if the ncaa has players like Ricci, Cansino, or Dwight. Those types are the perfect blend of basketball and showbiz. Those type of guys will choose uaap over ncaa.

Once they realize that vital problem, they will realize that the league has to improve "basketball-wise" first.
My old man and his retired friends always had fond memories about the league during their heydays in the 70's and 80's where the old RMSC used to host several classic games...legends like the Skywalker, Lim Eng Beng, Dondon Ampalayo and Danny Florencio are their favorite basketball heroes..until know they haven't figure it out why a 5'9 or 5'10 Samboy can literally walks in the air towards the basket and Danny Florencio's degree of difficulty when he jumps underneath the basket, the so-called dead spot but still scores anyway and the very famous rambulan sa recto and avenida between students of the opposite schools...oh dear!! student at that time are like cavemen...old-timers like Sir Dotch and company can also share something about why NC was very very famous back then.

Anyway, I hope S100 can bring back some innovations because the game keeps on evolving..those grandpa of the league must accept that change is inevitable.

GMA is ONLY known for their showbiz stuff, low-level telenovela/k-drama and news programming that's there bread n butter but as far as promoting sporting events and programming forget they are horrible. in fact even during interview on athletes they tend to ask questions about lovelife and other low level things like what is your favorite color, foods and motto in life..what the @@#$% seriously??? parang slum book lang ang peg..I used to do this during my elementary and HS days when many of my girls classmates and from the other sections gave me there scented and colorful notebooks just to answer something inside those spiral notebooks.

They are an important stakeholder and is doing a lot to raise the popularity of the league. Players even do guesting in their other TV shows, this shows how much invested they are in its success. They should realize that trying to market it as is in its current form is not as good as improving it as a product first and then market the heck out of it.

Karim Rodrigo Abdul 9 years old and Charles Mammie Jr. 8 years old, both of them were MVPs in their respective age groups.

    Brandon Bates

The possibility that he came over at around 2016 to 2017 to fill up the residency requirements played for several off-season tournaments before his actual debut on Season 81 up to 83. In fact in the official FIBA website his profile > Nationality is already tagged as Filipino being able to represent the country in a FIBA sanctioned tournament.

Brando Bates on FIBA Asia Cup 3x3

Gilas Pilipinas men’s 3x3 team ran out of steam and absorbed a 14-11 loss against wildcard squad Iran in a rough start in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup yesterday in Singapore.

Therefore, the Fil-Aus bigman has a chance to play as a local in the FIBA 5x5 in the immediate future considering he already established his strong domestic connection in the same breath as Jason Perkins.

Chapter 1: ELIGIBILITY, NATIONAL STATUS AND AVAILABILITY OF PLAYERS

Players With Two or More Nationalities
Article 17. Amy player who has played (i.e appeared on the final team delegation roster) in a main official competition of FIBA (including a FIBA 3x3 Competition) for a National team for which the player is eligible is considered as having chosen the national team of that country.
As for the local eligibility of Keith Datu, Luis Villegas and BGR well it always depends on the discretion of the Sec Gen and his committee of evaluators on how many years and merits needed to satisfy one’s requirements because the wisdom of FIBA’s Internal Regulation is all about strong domestic connection, representation and involvement we’ve seen how the likes of Brandon Jawato of INA, Moises Morgan, Tyler Lamb and Fred Lish of THA, Eric Gordon of BAS and eventually(?) Klay Thompson got their local exemption as our benchmark/reference for future endorsement.

Whew!! Can’t blame those from the opposite sex because once your inside the deepest part of the premises of the British Broadcasting Company it’s a lifetime dream for them, indeed once you pop you can’t stop.

Well the important thing is people like you Sir needs a pat in the back for doing some noble things due to our motivation "because we love the game", sometimes we don't agree on some issues esp. on politics same with Sir Dave, well that's part of the so-called healthy conversation.
