Many may disagree but his games against Korea and the Abdullah cup teams bear out that he has good enough laterals to bother perimeter players. He has to give up some strength to defend the post but that is alright. The FIBA PF's role now is not really a post up defender/threat. You look at most Euro guys they are lean.
    Agree bro.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Mike Phillips wants to play for Gilas. I hope he can get an exception at some point.
I'd love to have Philips and Lucero get FIBA exemptions. Having played college ball here is a way of establishing your basketball heritage in the Philippines.

            • send him to the US now. Tell Kai's handlers to sponsor the kid. We could have an Asian Shaq if we play our cards right.

                • According to him, he is only 6'7-6'8. Not 6'10.

But still with that height and heft at 13.

I think he could have some potential

He'll grow to 6'9"-6'10" at least if he's 6'7"-6'8" at 13. This kid could be a potential low-post big if taught right.

                          Dont expect too much though.

They are all raw and slow.

They are not like a 13-14 yrs old Kai.

Nonetheless, They can be developed if trained right

                              • If only we had the facility for cross training like in the US wherein some multiple sports the way Baylor are doing on their players to develop some CORE strength..tsk..tsk..swimming is also a good alternative and we had lot of facilities to choose actually.
