Not "to the letter"
From the way I understand analyzed regarding that matter, FIBA's "passport before 16 years old" rule isn't really "to the letter". Meaning you can still be declared eligible if for instance you obtained/secured Philippine passport just a few months after his 16th b-day, specially if you applied for Philippine passport prior to your 16th b-day. I think that is the case of James Daniel Spencer of Batang Gilas U-18 team & UP. He obtained his Philippine passport after his 16th b-day but was declared eligible by FIBA.Originally posted by thatweirdguy View Post
