Shaun is older, and he's the one at NU now. The younger Ildefonso is Sean Dave, born April 14, 2000, and teammates with Kai Sotto now at AHS. He is eligible and should be the starting SG of 2018 Batang Gilas U18.

The writer got his age wrong in the article. Dave was only 16 when it was written.

Dave Shaun B-Day is actually April 2000, so he still eligible for next year's 2018 U-18.

That's the name as per Wiki when I look at the lineup of 2015 U-16 Bating Gilas. Ildedonso Sean Dave, the current AHS player. Probably the NU Bulldog red shirt is Shaun Dave.

Sean plays the 2-3 position for AHS.

He is also the young Ildefonso who was born in 2000 and is a member of the youth tean.

I think Dave is the elder Lakay now in NU Bulldogs.

One is named Sean Dave & the other is Shaun, hence the confusion.

In recent years, the rapid progress of Philippine basketball, in addition to the well-known William and Romeo, they also have a lot of hope in the youth team, one of the most notable by the Philippine media as a basketball genius juvenile Kai Sotto, although he Only 14 years old, but he has been selected by the Philippines exceptional selection U16 men's basketball team.

Kai Sotto is up to 2.18 meters, according to bone age predicted that he is likely to rise to 2.26 meters in the future, this year's Philippine High School League, he averaged 4.4 points, 6 rebounds, 1.9 blocked, although the data is not Out of color, but considering that he is playing with 2-3 players than their own play, this data has been considered very good. In addition to Kai Sotto, the Philippine youth team has two close to 2.10 meters inside Ethan Kirkness and AJ Edu, both of whom are very good physical fitness, Ethan Kirkness is likely to join together this year Kai Sotto Philippine U16 inside the twin towers.

Dave was listed at 6'3" 2 years ago in FIBA Asia U16. He was born in April 2000. He currently plays SG in AHS.

Based on the picture with Gozum (taken June 2017), it seemed that Jason Credo (who plays SF for AHS as well) and Dave Ildefonso are as tall as the Mapua slotman. However, based on my chat with them, it seems that the FIBA height data might have been padded. Gozum may be closer to 6'4 now, making Jason and Dave at best 6'4" as well. But a 6'4" SG-SF (Jason Credo) ain't that bad. Admittedly, more intriguing is a 6'4" SG (Dave Ildefonso) whom I believe can be converted to PG.

With much of the U18 prospects coming from Ateneo, it becomes a no brainer of who best to lead / coach this team

                              • I hope we will emulate other Asian and European countries that they already include there young stars to the senior team to participate in a senior tournament. Kai and Edu must be included to the Gilas Senior pool and training this upcoming Fiba Qualifiers. Let us get out of the mentality that the player is still young, or still studying, or UAAP and NCAA commitment crap.
