                    • A long time basketball fan and an avid Interbasket reader, this is my first post. Just got curious about this kid's height so I compared 2 photos of this kid (one with Kramer and the other with Marcio). My reference points are the kid's head and the logo on his shirt.

If Kramer is 6'4" and Marcio is 6'2" then this kid is about 6'8". But if Kramer is 6'4.5" and Marcio is 6'2", then this kid is 6'9.5"

would've been nice if these tall kids play for our youth teams along with Kirk and Edu.

                          • Wow, with these tall kids keep coming, we'll have a really tall next gen Gilas.

                            • In 1998, we had our first batch of really tall big men: Seigle, Aquino, Feihl.
                              In 2002, we had Taulava.
In 2007, we had Taulava and Pennisi.
In 2011, we had Taulava, Aguilar, and Douthit.
In 2013, we had Aguilar, Douthit, and Fajardo.
Next year, we will have Fajardo, Blatch, Aguilar, and possibly Slaughter.

Except for 2002, we never really ran out of legit big men who play in the paint. What we need more, though, are tall wing players. Norwood filled that gap from 2007-present. I am hoping that one of the big kids mentioned here (Edu, Kirkness, Cariño, Paras, Rangel, Go, Sandalo) will play that role. I have reservations about the ability of Go to play the wings, but I do have my eyes on Paras and Edu five years down the road. If all of these kids grow and improve to their potential, we might just see a 2023 Gilas roster like this:

                              C: Kirkness, 21, 7'0"
                              PF/C, Cariño, 25, 6'10"
                              SF: Paras, 27, 6'8"
                              SF/PF: Edu, 23, 6'10"
                              C: Go, 28, 6'9"
                              PF: Rangel, 26, 6'9"
                              C: Sandalo, 26, 6'10"

Average-sized centers, but definitely a tall wing rotation. We aren't even talking about the players who are still under the radar, or those who have already started their college careers like Tolentino or Rivero. It will also be exciting to see how Matt Nieto and Jolo Mendoza grow and adopt a PG mentality, and how the likes of van Opstal, Parks, Belo, and Ravena take on the role of veteran campaigners.
                              Keep running, big boy.
