for sure Ray Parks Jr. will someday be part of our natl team. just let him hone his talent in the US. If he decides to play for some leagues there someday, it will be good for the Philippines...and as i can see it, Ray Parks Jr. is a proud Filipino. He even speaks better Tagalog than Norwood, Williams or Devance.

As far as im concern this is not a national team that will compete in any tournaments...This is just a pool of players that they will use for the future tournaments...
BTW, who is this 15-year-old, 6-foot-5 Fil-Canadian-Italian that the poster mentioned?... anyone?

all we have is seniors and women seniors...
this is just a pool of young players that they are trying to develop..
they are our future that's why they decided to train them this early...
They are being train for the future...

i still hope that they would create a National Training Center like that of China, funded by both private sector and the government. This way they can train our youth continueously unlike if they are only funded by private companies, once that corpoation decided that it would do no good for their company to fund this program and thay decided to terminate the funding immediately, what will happen to our youth program? Fine Sponsorship from these corporations is a crucial, but what if these corporations experience monetary diffeculties and that they need the money used for our youth program so that they can survive the crisis? Will they government have the right to say "NO, THAT MONEY IS FOR OUR BASKETBALL YOUTH PROGRAM!". What i propose is a combined fund allocation from private sectors and the government. In that way if one of them redirect the money for the program, they still have one left.

San Fernando, Pampanga - San Beda College and Ateneo de Davao University swept their respective first-day assignments Saturday to move closer to the title in the 2006 Milo BEST Center’s SBP/Passerelle national basketball finals at the University of Assumption gym here.
Ateneo bucked a spirited run by St. Scholastica’s Academy-Pampanga to win 66-51 in the SBP division. Later in the day, the Davao-based dribblers eliminated BCR champion La Salle Greenhills, 60-56.
NCR Passerelle titlist San Beda matched Davao boys’ record by crushing Holy Child School of Davao and Baguio City National High School.
Coach Britt Reroma’s Bedans blasted Holy Child, 91-73, behind Arthur dela Cruz and Micah Pe, and then went to Ralph Mendoza and Aljon Mariano in routing Baguio, 93-60, in the other match.
Ahead only by five at the turn, SBC broke the contest wide open, 72-49, in the third quarter as Dela Cruz and Pe combined their efforts.
Mendoza and Mariano scored 12 points each for SBC in its lopsided triumph over Baguio.
In other Passerelle games, Ateneo de Iloilo whipped BCNHS, 102-84, but fell to Holy Child, 78-96.
Ateneo de Davao slotman Mario Bonleon keyed his team’s twin wins, scoring 22 points against St. Scholastica’s Academy and 24 against La Salle Greenhills.Keep running, big boy.
