Belmonte and Briones were unplayable against La Salle because they were routinely getting cooked by KQ. Torres, Alarcon, Lopez, and Bayla decently defended KQ.

He can just do the same path Kawamura did, dominate the BLeague, and get a chance to have a two-way contract. Better if he enters the NBA draft actually, since he will not be a US high school graduate, hence he is consider an international prospect. A gilas stint would be useful too.

Because if players like Dwight, Schonny, Heading, and Wright became worthy of playing USNCAA D1, I can't see how Andy does not deserve it. He might be on par or even better than those players at his age right now.

Kawamura received an NBA offer not because of dominating B. League but because he was fantastic in the Olympics. Had Gilas qualified for the Olympics and Kai put up numbers like he's putting now, he would've been signed by an NBA team. It's imperative that Gilas qualifies in LA 2027 if Kai wants to fulfill his NBA dream.

Likewise also the FIBA world cup considering how many NBA personnel are in the tournament, but Olympics is definitely a more prestigious resume. i personally think its a lie that NBA teams have scouts in Asia, maybe they would glance here and there but I dont think its that extensive

He was also scouted in the bleague, his coach on his bleague team had connections so they invited scouts to come watch him play way before the Olympics. His bleague team also knew he wanted to make the NBA so his development was geared to wards that goal in the first place.

He already got an NBA exhibit offer even before the Olympics even started. So him playing in the Olympics does not have a connection with him getting an exhibit contract.

He received the offer around July, that was before the Olympics started. It was because of his
fantastic play in the WC, followed by an MVP season in the BLeague.

So yeah, dominating the BLeague + having a exceptional national team stint would translate into an NBA career.

He is already part of the rotation actually, I think he is a backup to the main point guard of Royal Crown. The only thing he needs to do is to deliver, and a Div 1 offer will appear. He still has a year. A lot can happen.

Tounkara and UST having troubles, while Cholo Villanueva apparently said no to ue opting to stay with his current posts according to a new spin.ph article by homer sayson

Tonakara would have been the perfect FSA next to Philips as he can play the 4. UP,DLSU could use him since they have a lot of 5’s and they’d need someone who can ideally play both 4/5

So looks like tounkara and ust refuted homer's report. He really gotta make sure those sources are legit.

Homer is best when it comes to the Tab beat since he is a mouthpiece for Dickel and crew. Other beats especially SMC he is mid at best.

Heard that ateneo was actually the team that was recruiting tounkara, so it can be the beat came from katipunan's side.

But yeah, it doesnt really make sense for him to leave since ust is expected to go all out as well next year. Anyways is osang still with ust? Havent really seen him lately, and its looks like a different fsa is playing for team b.

Homer: It wasn’t breakfast at Tiffany’s but the five-star brunch at the Hyatt Regency wasn’t too shabby, either. However, when you’re talking basketball with one of the best to ever do it in the college ranks, the food disappears into an afterthought. Thanks for the honor, coach Tab Baldwin

Plus if he leaves, he has to redshirt 1 year and lose 1 yr of eligibility which means he will only have 2 yrs of eligibility left, unless the money is that good of course

Now, why is Tab Baldwin in Chicago, is there a good Filam prospect there?
