I think the media got confused as well coz PSL and Cocolife is almost basically the same group. Hence, the confusion I think.

Regarding Ashon, according to inside source, he was being recruited by Rodney and their group since January. Cocolife actually matched their offer to Ashon but they doubled their offer. At that point, Cocolife is not willing to match it anymore. Cocolife still has some prospects specially in the juniors division that could play by season 101. That’s why they don’t want to spend too much on Ashon. There’s actually a word that Rodney and their group is still trying to recruit more from the Golden Stags. I wonder why of all the players he can recruit, it’s the Golden Stag players he’s trying to recruit

As for Maxie, he’s injured and they are still fixing Reid’s papers.

I recall Rodney Santos and Arvin Bonleon were teammates with the Golden Stags. Bonleon was older while Rodney was a rookie in 1992. Then their stars were point guard Aldrin Morants, center Armoni Llagas and former Ateneo Blue Eaglet Peter Martin. Rodney’s older brother Reginald Santos was also part of that team.

They lost to Letran in the Finals with lefty guard Joy Pena and center Gilbert Castillo starring for the Knights. If anyone can’t remember who was Pena back then, he plays similarly to then UST Glowing Goldie Udoy Belmonte.

This is not true. Actually, the reality is Baste has 2 main sponsors. Those are PSL and Cocolife. The sponsorship that ended was PSL’s. But Cocolife is still part of Baste’s basketball program. That’s why coach Arvin and the rest of their recruits are still with Baste.

The announcement of Baste that they are looking for a new sponsor is actually to replace PSL’s sponsorship not Cocolife.

Benilde finishes undefeated in their group in Next Man Cup. Breakout game for victoria. He's been progressing really well but i dont think he'll be more than a secondary playmaker on the floor. Court vision and decision making still needs work. Gonzaga so far with another double degit scoring and has been the most consistent team b. Should push for atleast a reserve spot in season 101.
