  • I’m seeing Cocolife recruits on their FB accounts welcoming Are back. Looks like they’re not packing up. Good sign!

We’ll see in a few days if they stayed because of coach Arvin or if it’s coz Cocolife is still a co-sponsor. Next game of Baste in Pinoyliga is on March 29. Let’s see if Cocolife is still on Baste’s jersey.

I’m just not sure whether Rob Labagala is the man for the job. He didn’t even had a head coaching job before this. And now suddenly he’s the man calling the shots. But so far so good. It’s a positive development in terms of the team’s backing.

I feel like coach arvin will still be calling the x and o's. Coach rob is more of a skills coach anyways. Prolly why they still retained arvin bonleon.

        I hear Baste is working out a Fil-Foreign guard/wing.

Yeah. That’s what I like about the Starhorse group. They are inclusive. They are not a one man show. As per an article that I’ve read they are offering Raymond Valenzona to be an assistant and former Staglet June Dizon to be a Skills coach.

That’s why I think if coach Rob fails to deliver by season 101, I’m expecting for coach Arvin or coach Raymond to take the helm once again or Starhorse might opt to get a more experienced coach by then. But I’m hoping for coach Rob to step up to the challenge. He has the ready materials to play for him. It’s up to him to prove his worth.

Another guard? They already have Ronquillo, Hinoguin, Maxie, Reid, Lumanag, Cabilla and a lot of guards on their team B. And they still have a lot of guards on their team A as well. That’s why I think they have way too many guards on their pipeline. Although Maxie is not sure for season 101 coz of his injury and they are still fixing Reid’s papers.

That’s why I’m really hoping for Cocolife to still be onboard. If that’s the case, the UAAP HS standout that I’ve mentioned has a big chance of pushing through with Baste. That’s a center. It would be a big boost for Baste’s lineup for season 101. They badly need to beef up their big man lineup.

Buenaflor. But of course, it’s expected for UAAP teams to have an offer on him. But Cocolife will have first dibs on him definitely

                  • UPHSD has a nice gym. Would be nice if all NC schools has a decent gym that can accommodate a crowd so they can do a home/away during the season. Just move to Filoil in the Final 4.

Mapua had it vs an incomplete DLSU team until they lost some guys.

Just a lot hero ball in the last few possessions. Dlsu just made enough plays to escape with the one.

Both teams were missing guys from the get go, but imo mapua has the advantage chemistry wise. Dlsu only started playing together couple of weeks ago. Still a great roller coaster game.

escamis' decision making still a suspect in his game. that's separates him and jd as the best collegiate guard last year

                              • Very competitive game for both mapua and la salle. Who are missing for the archers? Mike Philips? For mapua, its de los reyes, recto, cuenco, gonzales and manlapaz. This 2 teams are quality collegiate programs, nice seeing them competing against each other with different kind of styles. Mapua being physical ncaa type of phasing while la salle more on skills and system oriented uaap style.
