As per Philstar, Jevy Hinoguin is now with Baste. Also expected to return is Paeng Are. Maybe he hasn’t played yet in MPBL.
Also as per that article, coach Arvin will still be part of the coaching staff. Maybe to stop Cocolife recruits from leaving. Salute to coach Arvin for doing the greatest sacrifice in order to bring back the glory of Baste.

Coach Yuri of SBU has brought along Aldous Torculas in the Talk ‘N Text practices. One of the pitches that lured Aldous to the Den is the possibility of playing for the three PBA teams of MVP and also the possibility of getting employed there after his playing career.

And as per our source, Labagala is not sure yet whether he’s going to be the HC but he’s part of the coaching staff. But there’s still a chance for him to be the HC but he’s appointment as HC is not yet final. And the signing with Starhorse did happen today.

San Sebastian has made its decision. One of the country’s brightest young coaches, Rob Labagala, has been chosen as the next head coach of the Golden Stags. Red Dynasty will also provide its full support for Labagala in his new journey. The formal contract signing took place on Thursday at San Sebastian’s campus, with school […]

The realistic scenario that I think would happen to Baste in the future is how Mapua does things. We could have alumni support foundation to support Baste’s MBT. But just like in Mapua, even though they have alumni support, they still have to rely on sponsorship outside their alumni support for better funding. At least even though Abra left them, they don’t have to do a total reset.
But I think what Baste is currently doing is brilliant. By having 2 major sponsors, the program doesn’t have to do a total reset in case the other one leaves. AFAIK, Cocolife is still with Baste as of the moment. I’m just not sure whether they could come to terms with Starhorse. But just in case Cocolife leaves, Baste has an option to look for another sponsor to replace the Cocolife sponsorship if their agreement to Starhorse permits them to do so. That’s just the temporary solution while we don’t have a regular backing from our alums yet.

Ronquillo’s Cocolife was the chief patron of the Red Cubs where Brodette and Silva were consultants,
But I do believe if Cocolife and Starhorse manages to strike a deal, it would be a win-win for all parties. Imagine Cocolife having a partner who has a PBA team. And I heard Starhorse is a really competitive organization who wants to make an impact right off the bat. If they manages to make a deal with Cocolife, they could keep the Cocolife recruits and make an impact for season 101 already for their first year in Baste. But definitely it would be Baste who will benefit most if this eventuality happens. Oh well, I certainly hope for this to happen.

According to our source, Starhorse is buying out the contract of coach Arvin. Don’t know if it’s for them to do a full takeover or for them to have the say of who will be the Head Coach.

Yesterday, Snow dropped a hint that Starhorse-Baste is a done deal already.
According to our source, the choice is between Rob Labagala and Rodney Santos. Labagala is the obvious choice as he is connected with Basilan. I don’t know if Rodney is connected with the Starhorse group or if Starhorse is open on getting coaches outside their stable.
