One of the most largest and oldest(?) organization in North America are also heavily(?) involved for next year's event both basketball and volleyball.

I do hope that they could also involve in discovering hafu kids from other sports discipline such as Swimming, Track and Field, Baseball, Football among others

NBTC Schedules: Manila, Philippines March 27-30, 2025 - Wild Card March 31-April 6, 2025 - National Finals & Manila Live

      another breaking news:

as per official FB page of Fil-Nation Select

3x NBA champion, 2008 NBA Coach of the Year, 2x NBA All-Star Coach the legendary Lakers Byron Scott

was officially named as the HC of 2025 Filam Nation Select's for next year's 2025 NBTC/Manila Live Games

with that, were hoping that they could entice those high profile hafus to participate for that week-long(?) tournament

the likes of Dylan Harper now playing as a freshmen at Rutgers would be a sight to be hold

as much as I would like the Scarlet Knights to go deeper, in reality the likes of Kansas City Jay Hawks, Alabama Crimson Tide,

Uconn Huskies, Houston Cougars, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Baylor Bears, Iowa State Cyclones are one top cookies out there.

with teammate Angelino Mark, JJ kid, Trey Pinkard(?) already confirmed their participation next year.

Philippine basketball fans are also hoping they could convince the highly touted Vyc Miller to come over as well

hmm..how about another highly touted hafu, Jaland Lowe of the Pittsburgh Panthers..

      let's see..that would be dandy.

Come to think of it, have there been any editions of the NBTC where someone already playing college basketball participated? I think the NBTC is for high schoolers, so it's unlikely that players like Dylan Harper and Jaland Lowe would take part. Plus, they can't risk injury in a tournament like this, especially when they're already playing in prestigious NCAA Division I programs. Imagine Dylan getting injured and jeopardizing his NBA draft stock because some random local player from the Philippines decided to hurt him. LOL. I remember watching a clip of Caelum getting mugged and hurt intentionally by a no-name local in that Fil-Am Nation game. It just doesn’t seem worth it to play in the NBTC when they're already making a name for themselves in U.S. college basketball. And as I mentioned earlier, I believe the NBTC is only for high school players, so those Fil-Am players would be instantly ineligible to participate anyway.

          Sir lemon,

technically, barely 19 yrs. old Dylan and Jaland can still be eligible for NBTC as per eligibility rule.

I think UP's Sean Alter was barely 19 yrs. old at that time when he first joined NBTC a few years ago.

anyway, as you said, the reality is that the possibility of encountering a few(?) wacko minded local kids doin' those cheap shot(s)

are very much inevitable and we don't like that.

same thing that happened to Jalen's batch several years ago wherein those hafus had also experience the so-called "pinoy extra-moves"

but thank goodness it ain't totally extreme

so as a safe thing, the mere presence of those hafus may somehow provide an inspiration to those aspiring young ballers out there

who wants to be elite as well

maybe sitting on the bench and providing some few inspirational speeches during awardings is also a sign that they recognize there heritage

and supports Philippine basketball specifically towards grassroot development.

now the next question is, are they are interested enough to visit PHI? after all transportation are ain't that cheap.
