Latvia should've looked at the record of the Philippines against European teams for the last 60 years. That way they would have known that they were supposed to win with absolute certainty.
Bro... Remember Brazil beat NBA laden Canadian squad last year... Brazil is a dark horse team in every FIBA or Olympic competitions.. Japan beating Brazil is like dreaming that Indonesia will beat Japan in FIBA Asia...

Yeah... What do you think of SSD? A weak team? SSD is now clearly the number 1 team in Africa while Japan can't even proved they are the best in Asia.. they haven't played Lebanon or full strength Philippines.. they even have hard time beating rebuilding teams such as China and Iran (I didn't include Oceania teams there)... Match up wise, Japan is clearly underdogs against SSD... Their length and size will bothered Japan...

yes, in term of international basketball both Bahamas and South Sudan are considered developing… but Nigeria??? I don’t think so….

Because South Sudan Basketball Team is a feel good story. South Sudan the country didnt exist until it break away from war torn, impoverished Sudan. Luong Dieng, like the brothers Maker, were refugees and were stateless. The Sudanese people triumphed against very inhumane conditions and their representation in the Olympics is seen as inspirational and already a victory against adversity and all the evils of war and poverty.

Tito Robert's Favorite National Team ( Next to Guam)

                Side Notes:
                • The 2 Yuki's both under 5'6" recently signed an Exhibit 10 NBA contracts. Tominaga also signed Exhibit 10 contract.
                • The front row players are probably the core players while Hawkinson (NP) and Baba at the back, are both starter-level players.
                • Akira Jacobs is about 6'8 and is only 20 y.o.
                • Coach Tom Hovasse, is 6'8. and coached Japan Women's NT to a Silver Medal finish in 2021 at Tokyo.
                • Outlook: Will exit the group stage: 0-3. Tough to beat the host: France, the current World Cup holder Germany, and piping hot Puerto Rico.

Watch out World. South Sudan might feature both Bol Bol and Thon Maker

I hope they include Khaman Maluach in their final roster just like Bahamas included VJ Edgecombe in their OQT lineup

                      • Aside from SGA, Murray, Barrett, Brooks, Dort, the quality of the bench as well as their bigs is really wanting. It's like a mid-level NBA team with 2 stars, 1 starter and 2 specialist with the rest as role players and benchwarmers.

Canada v. US in this prep game is like a game between an NBA All-Star and a regular NBA team. Not bad for Canada but not good either.

P.S. Still hoping for any upset against the US in the Olympics.

Team canada is a mid level playoff team in the east at best, good enough to contend for silver-bronze (but might luck its way to the gold medal)

                          • Exactly why I said Canada needed all their NBA players like Brandon Clarke and Mathurin who were left out. Sucks that Wiggins was not allowed.

Good thing, this is a tune up game folks, The main tournament is all that matters... USA last year also 5-0 in their tune up games but we all know what happened in the main tournament... But their line up is way way better than last year... Let's see later this month... Neither either way trying hard to win this tune up games
