That was the essence of what I was telling Robert before you joined in.
Heck, I didn't even claim that Japan would beat Brazil. I'm just irritated at these claims of 100% certainty that this team will beat this team based on this and that.Last edited by Metta; 07-09-2024, 06:44 AM.

South Sudan is a tier higher than Cape Verde. Brazil is also a tier higher than Venezuela.
Also, I am also irritated about everyone glossing over Japan can do this, can do that when there are teams tiers above them. It's ridiculous.
This is the same way I got irritated whenever Guam or Saudi Arabia could beat this, could beat that.Last edited by ja.he; 07-09-2024, 07:08 AM.Attack

Repost from Donatas Urbonas @Urbodo
The Paris 2024 Olympics promises to be the strongest ever
1. It features 12 All-NBA players from the 23/24 season—tying a record not seen in 28 years
2. The talent pool includes LeBron (GOAT discussion), Wembanyama (generational star), Jokic & Giannis (Euro GOAT race)
3. All-NBA players will represent 4 teams, with USA facing its strongest competition in years
4. This is only the 4th Olympics to feature the current NBA MVP (DPOY & ROY will also be present)
5. It will also feature the last five NBA MVP winners

If Harden and Westbrook (mvps from 16-17,17-18) didnt regress that much they would have been considered for team USA.
If we go further back, (2013-2014) there are 7 former mvps playing at the olympics (lbj, durant, curry, giannis, jokic and embiid)

Off topic,
how come Thon Maker can switch up and play as a local for South Sudan when he already played for the Australia senior team? Even if Australia will release him, isnt he supposed to be classified as a naturalize player same with Carlik Jones?
How can the 2 of them be allowed on the same roster?
How is his case different from Clarkson?
